Cutter Patents (Class 242/911)
  • Patent number: 7850115
Abstract: A fishing spool dispenser for the easy manipulation and severance of a fishing line. A first flange contains a radially expanding, angled guide slot to secure the free end of the fishing line. A radially inward extending holding clip is disposed along the outer edge of the first flange opposite the supply of fishing line. A cutting slot is formed on the second flange, generally opposite the guide slot, and contains a cutting surface to sever the line. The invention also includes a method of using the dispensing arrangement, running a portion of fishing line from the supply, through the guide slot, under the holding clip and then back to the cutting slot to be cut against a cutting surface within the cutting slot.

  • Patent number: 7150426
Abstract: Spooling apparatus comprising means for rotatably mounting a first reel and a second reel, catching means for guiding a thread (1) to be spooled onto the first reel and further to the second reel and cutting means (5) for cutting the thread to be spooled when the thread to be spooled is guided from the first reel onto the second reel. The cutting means (5) comprises at least one cutting blade (7) which is moved at least in the cutting direction (K) as a result of the tension of the thread (1) to be cut.

  • Patent number: 6818088
Abstract: An apparatus and method to fabricate a photosensitive drum for an image forming apparatus. The apparatus includes a photosensitive belt supply roll and a double-sided tape supply roll; a bonding unit to bond a photosensitive belt and a double-sided tape together; a cutting unit to cut the bonded photosensitive belt and double-sided tape at a predetermined length from a double-sided tape cover; a rotating unit to rotate the cut photosensitive belt and double-sided tape around a rotary drum having a predetermined size; and a winding unit to wind the double-sided tape cover which is separated from the photosensitive belt and the double-sided tape. An inexpensive photosensitive belt is wound on a large-sized rotary drum by applying tension. Thus, it is possible to mass-produce the photosensitive drum at a low cost.

  • Patent number: 6244029
Abstract: A method and a device for winding a spun yarn body from an inside wall of a spinning centrifuge of a pot spinning machine onto a tube (10) introduced for such purpose into the spinning centrifuge. The yarn extending between a yarn guide tube (6) and the inside wall of the spinning centrifuge is caught by lowering the tube past the mouth of the yarn guide tube and the winding process initiated. A remnant of spinning yarn is created thereby between the draw frame and the tube foot. In order to avoid disturbances due to the free end of this remnant of spinning yarn, the remnant of spinning yarn is separated from the yarn body and the tube and subsequently removed by suction.

  • Patent number: 5458708
Abstract: A printing sleeve for a flexographic printing process is prepared by spirally winding successive adhesive coated tapes onto a forming mandrel such that the outer tape covers the seam in the previous layer, providing heat to the thermoplastic adhesive layers at the initial contact point between two tapes, providing sufficient tension to ensure consolidation, and advancing the resultant printing sleeve off the mandrel by means of a drive belt.
