Abstract: A flute lyre includes a music holder and a body attached to the music holder. The body includes a neck member, a support member, and an arm member extending between the neck member and the support member. The support member includes a base support and a music holder support. The neck member is configured to extend about and contact a user's neck, and the base support is configured to contact the user's torso when the flute lyre is positioned on the user. The music holder support is positioned on an exterior side of an arm of the user, and the arm member is positioned between the user's arm and the user's torso for contacting the user's arm when the flute lyre is positioned on the user and the user holds the flute in the playing position. Other example flute lyres and methods of constructing flute lyres are also disclosed.

Abstract: A tablet or smartphone holding system for video and photo shooting is disclosed. The holder is a clip which has a clear, flat, front panel and a back panel which are joined together by an axis. The axis goes through bases on both the front and back panel and has a spring, which generates pressure to press the back panel toward the front panel, with a tablet or smartphone in between.

Abstract: Lyre capable of securing a readable electronic tablet or mobile device to a musical instrument is disclosed. The use of mobile device secured to the smart lyre negates the limited capacity of paper music or information the musician has available during a performance. The smart lyre, holding a tablet or smart phone enables the musician to access and view virtually unlimited amounts of electronic music and information, which can be updated repeatedly thus eliminating excess use of print and paper.

Abstract: A hands-free music notation display system for playing digital sheet music. The system includes a tablet that displays digital sheet music and houses the system's operating components therein. The housing within the tablet includes a communication link connecting the tablet to one or more foot controls. The foot controls provide the ability for a user to display the next or previous page on the tablet with his or her foot, thereby permitting the user to remain hands-free to play an instrument. The tablet includes a plurality of buttons that permit a user to load and play sheet music thereon.

Abstract: An interretractable folding stand includes outer, inner, and top pairs of mirror-image members. Each outer member is rotatably connected to an inner member and to a top member. Inner members are connected by a first hinge, and top members are connected by a second hinge, so that when inner and top members are fully rotatably misaligned with respect to the outer pair, the first and second hinges can be opened to allow the inner and outer members to form a tripod. When open, inner members can engage top members to support the top members in an elevated horizontal plane to provide a stable surface for supporting an elongated structure or instrument such as an electric piano. When closed, outer members align in parallel to form a retracting channel for the inner and top members.

Abstract: A device for supporting a long handled tool in an upright position includes a rod comprising an upper section and a lower section, a collar pivotally attached to the upper section of the rod, and a foot pivotally coupled to the lower section of the rod. One of the upper and lower sections is telescopically received within the other of the upper and lower sections of the rod, and the collar is cylindrically shaped and has an opening on a front side thereof to receive the long handled tool.

Abstract: A lyre for retaining musical copy or other leaf-style items is particularly suited for marching band brass instruments. The configuration incorporates the use of a saddle which is selectively positioned on the instrument to permit a user to read the copy in a hands-free scenario. Straps are employed to cinch the saddle into place on the instrument while a lyre extends perpendicularly from the saddle. This particular lyre is designed to accommodate a larger amount of copy.

Abstract: A guitar stand includes a top member, two front legs and a rear leg pivotally connected to the top member and biasable between an extended position and a received position, two bearing bars respectively pivotally connected to the front legs and adapted for supporting a guitar, and a foot assembly mounted at the bottom end of each front leg to enhance positioning stability. The foot assembly includes a front foot member affixed to the bottom end of the respective front leg, and a stop bar coupled to and movable in and out of the front foot member and turnable outwardly forwards for stopping at the bottom end of the front foot member at a predetermined angle to enhance positioning stability after having been moved out of the front foot member.

Abstract: A portable guitar stand has two stand racks, two supporting racks and two holding racks. The stand racks are pivotally connected to each other. The supporting racks are respectively and pivotally connected to the stand racks. The holding racks are respectively and pivotally connected to the stand racks. The holding rack and the supporting rack are pivotally connected to different sides of the corresponding stand rack. When the guitar stand is folded, the stand racks, the supporting racks and the holding racks are parallel to each other. When expanded, the supporting racks and the holding racks, which extend toward different sides, may firmly support the guitar on the guitar stand. When folded, the stand racks, the supporting racks and the holding racks are parallel to each other, thereby lowering the volume of the guitar stand for ease of transportation and storage.

An actuating housing is attached to the groove guide and connected to at least one force member positioned between the base and the actuating housing. At least one containment door is positioned in a door groove adjacent each door shroud. Each containment door communicates with the actuating housing with at least one guide pin positioned in a guide slot of each containment door, the guide slot being angled at a predetermined angle to translate vertical movement of the actuating housing to horizontal movement of each containment door.

Abstract: A height adjustable stand for musical instrument includes a connecting housing including a sleeve secured to the stand, a bifurcation extending out of the sleeve and including a top opening communicating with a slot therein, and two limit surfaces on both sides of the opening respectively; two opposite hooks each pivotably secured to the bifurcation and including a coupling member including a spring receptacle, a lever, an inclined surface adjacent to the receptacle, and a latch, and a curved member extending from the coupling member; a torsion spring biased between the spring receptacles; and a lock pivotably supported in the opening and including a first part, a second part at an angle with respect to the first part, and a protrusion on a bottom of the first part. Pressing of the first part moves the protrusion out of the slot to unlock the hooks.

The frame unit includes two side modules, a top bar mounted between the side modules, and a bottom bar mounted between the side modules. The support unit includes a supporting seat for supporting a musical instrument, and a mounting sleeve connected with the supporting seat and rotatably mounted on the bottom bar of the frame unit. Thus, the support unit is pivotally mounted on the frame unit, so that a user only needs to place the musical instrument on the support unit and to push the musical instrument toward the top bar of the frame unit, so as to pivot the support unit and to support the musical instrument between the top bar of the frame unit and the supporting seat of the support unit.

Abstract: An attachable book holder is disclosed for a piano having a music rest, where the music rest has upper and lower outer surfaces. The attachable book holder comprises an elongate finger element and an attachment means which is connected to the elongate finger element at a connection point. The attachment means is attachable to at least one of the outer surfaces of the music rest at one or more contact regions. The elongate finger element is adjustable between a first orientation in which the finger element extends upwards from the connection point and a second orientation. The attachable book holder can be used on modern pianos which are supplied without book holders as part of the music rest, or alternatively the attachable book holder can be used to replace faulty or missing book holders on older pianos. In the former case there is no need to drill the casing of the book rest to attach the book holder to the music rest.

A portion of the board can define at least one substantially planar leg coupled to the board and moveable between at least two positions with respect to the board, the first position wherein the leg is received within the board to complete the board, and the second position wherein the leg is extended from the board to form a support for the musical instrument. The accessory can also include one or more adhesion elements along one side of the board. Methods for supporting a musical instrument are provided that can include adhering the board to a rear face of a musical instrument, storing the musical instrument in a case with the leg in the first position, and supporting the musical instrument with the leg in the second position.

Abstract: One embodiment of a foldable and height adjustable playing support for musical instrument that supports an instrument such as a guitar in the playing position while the musician is in the seated position. When in use it supports the instrument's bottom surface with its top instrument supporting surface and its bottom portion, the body contacting surface, rests on the performer's thigh. The support provides the performer various height adjustments to achieve the most comfortable playing position. When not in use it can be flattened to a form that is easy to carry and travel with.

Abstract: A sheet music holder having a golpe board with a non-porous surface for gluing into a guitar body with a porous surface, a twist lock power-assisted suction device, a clamp with a single tightening nut, and a sheet tray to hold the sheet music. The twist lock power-assisted suction device allows a user to easily create a strong vacuum attachment that will last fro hours so a complete performance will not be interrupted. The golpe board is included where the guitar body has a porous surface that would otherwise frustrate the suction attachment. The double-ball-and-socket clamp and arm allows a variety of positioning possibilities for the user to best read the sheet music in the tray.

The belt is worn by the user so that the loop is situated over the spine of the user. The strap includes attachment holes or apertures at the distal ends thereof to receive guitar strap buttons mounted on a guitar. The strap also includes typical length adjustment features. An alternate embodiment includes an additional mounting ring clip through which the strap is inserted. The mounting ring clip is removably attachable to the loop portion of the waist belt.

The removable hardware includes a removable back support member. The instrument carrier includes an articulating hinge that allows for positive, negative or neutral horizontal positioning of the instruments. The articulating hinge assembly further allows the carrier to be folded for easier transportation and storage in a smaller area.
