The mold may then be moved away from the pallet such that a molded product remains on the pallet, thereby allowing the end liner to move from the angled position to the vertical position.

    Abstract: A molding die having, an outer eccentric ring slidably fitted in an axle hole of a boss molding die assembly of a molding die unit, outer eccentric ring being formed with an eccentric hole the center of which is deviated from the center of the outer eccentric ring, an inner eccentric ring slidably fitted in this eccentric hole of the outer eccentric ring, and a holding pin for holding an insert and slidably fitted in the inner eccentric ring at a point which is deviated from the center of the inner eccentric ring. In adjusting the balance, the position of the holding pin is adjusted such that the center of rotation coincides with the center of gravity of the molded articles. In forming the die, the insert held by the holding pin of which position was adjusted is embedded in the molded article.

    Abstract: A mold assembly for molding thermoplastic material into a solid thin shell includes a metal mold with an outer surface exposed to a heat source and an inner surface on which thermoplastic material is cast and fused to form a thin layer thermoplastic shell. A plurality of elongated generally planar fins are connected to the outer surface at predetermined spaced areas for transferring heat from the heat source to predetermined spaced areas of the inner surface. The fins are metal sheets, preferably copper, each having a discontinuous flange at one end secured to the outer surface at spaced points along the discontinuous flange. The discontinuous flange is formed by slitting or cutting one end to form spaced projections and then bending adjacent projections in opposite directions generally transversely from the elongated metal sheet. The projections arc secured to the outer surface by TIG welding.

The mould may include an upper funnel-like part, which is rotatable about the axis of the annular mould relative to the remaining part of the mould so as to distribute the concrete mixture peripherally in the annular mould space.

A mold having a molding cavity defined therein and a slip inlet/outlet hole communicating with the molding cavity is positioned on the support surface of a mold table while the mold table is being maintained horizontally. Then, the mold table is tilted through a first angle with respect to a horizontal plane so that an inner end of the slip inlet/outlet hole is positioned near a lowermost end of the molding cavity in the mold. Thereafter, a slip is introduced under pressure into the molding cavity through the slip inlet/outlet hole. After the clay of the introduced slip is deposited to a desired thickness, the excess slip is discharged from the molding cavity through the slip inlet/outlet hole.

The tray supports are tiltably mounted about radial axes to enable tilting of the trays and a device for supplying the pallets for the empty trays and for the discharge of the pallets loaded with moldings extends diametrically underneath the turntable adjacent the unloading station.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for making a dock or sea wall whereby the wall comprises at least one sectional dock member, the dock member comprising a concrete base section and a concrete wall section perpendicular to and attached thereto. A forming float device is used to make each sectional dock member while the forming float device floats in a body of water (e.g. sea). Both the base and wall sections of the dock member are formed horizontally on the water, thereby simplifying the means of constructing and positioning the dock members. The forming float device provides a base section forming surface and a wall section forming surface perpendicular thereto. Rotation means are used to rotate the forming float device from a first position in which the base section is horizontally formed to a second position in which the wall section is also horizontally formed. Then the forming float device is rotated a third time to properly orient the dock member prior to positioning the dock member on the sea floor.
