Abstract: A modular assembly is provided for managing the flow of fluid beneath a ground surface. The assembly can feature a plurality of modules, each having a deck portion and opposing sidewalls extending downward therefrom. The opposing sidewalls can slope outward and away from one another as they extend downward from the deck portion. The modules further comprise a shoulder for supporting a link slab, and to support and separate modules that are stacked during transportation or storage. The sidewalls can define an interior fluid passageway having a flared configuration from top to bottom. The link slab and sidewalls of adjacent modules can define an exterior fluid passageway in fluid communication with a lateral fluid channel. A method is also provided for making a precast concrete module for use in the modular assembly.

Abstract: A molding equipment and method to mold stackable inter-engaging bricks, blocks, stones and the like and bricks, blocks, stones and the like produced therewith are disclosed. The molding equipment comprises a main structure which contains individual cavities. Each cavity preferably has a middle structure to which a brick separating element can be attached. Without the brick separating element, each cavity can form two attached splittable bricks whereas with the brick separating element attached, each cavity can hold two individual smooth or embossed face bricks. The size and shape of the stackable inter-engaging bricks is such that once out of the mold but still in an uncured form, the brick can stand on its side without falling down, being damaged, buckling or being otherwise deformed during the manufacturing process.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a building block which imitates a pile of dry stones. According to the method, the stones (10) are placed side-by-side on the bottom of a mold whose inside shape corresponds to the desired block shape, said bottom being constituted by a grating. Cement is then cast inside the mold. The cement (11) is compressed in order to force it to spread out uniformly inside the mold and to creep between the stones (10). While the cement is kept under pressure, water is projected through the bottom grating against the outside face of the block (1), so as to remove any cement which may be found thereon. Pressure is then removed from the cement and it is allowed to set. Finally the block (1) is extracted from the mold.
