  • Publication number: 20130146159
Abstract: A flow controllable connector for home appliances, which diverges or extends a passage of fluid by fastening an inlet having a first passage and an outlet having a second passage to tubes using fastening devices. The connector includes a control device disposed between the inlet and the outlet in order to prevent the fluid from flowing back as well as to control a flow rate. The control device performs both the function of preventing the fluid from flowing back and the function of controlling the pressure of the fluid. This makes it possible to prevent an electric/electronic sub-assembly from malfunctioning or abnormally operating, thereby increasing the longevity and reliability thereof.

  • Patent number: 8104112
Abstract: A portable solar shower includes two detachable water reservoirs. One of the reservoirs may be coupled to a water source and includes a diverter valve regulating the flow and temperature of water spayed by a shower head, and the other reservoir has a port for coupling to the shower head. When the solar shower is not in use, the reservoirs may be separated from one another to form a compact package adapted for storage or transportation.

  • Publication number: 20100258754
Abstract: Valves comprise a valve body having a gallery coupled to an inlet and an outlet to facilitate a fluid flow therethrough. A plug is moveably disposed within the valve body and a seat ring assembly may be coupled to the outlet of the valve body. At least one circular motion inducement feature is positioned in a portion of the valve body, the seat ring assembly, or both. The at least one circular inducement feature is configured to induce a circular motion in a fluid flow through the valve. Methods of creating a circular flow in a fluid flowing through a valve are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7604217
Abstract: An electrolysis-resistant coupling assembly for a valve within a fluid line. A line flange within the line includes a first mating surface and a fluid passageway therethrough. A valve flange downstream from the line flange includes a second mating surface. The valve flange has an aperture passing therethrough with first and second bores forming a lip. A valve coupler has an upstream end provided with a coupler flange having a third bore. A substantially non-compressible, non-metallic captive ring is interposed between the lip, and the flange and body of the valve coupler. Bolts and nuts assemble the valve flange to the line flange with a gasket therebetween, compressing the lip against the captive ring and the coupler flange. The valve is either sweat fitted or threadably attached to the downstream end of the valve coupler. Various configurations for the valve flange, the captive ring, and the valve coupler are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6935613
Abstract: The present invention provides a flanged ball valve device which can be connected, as an integrated compact unit, to a pump at the valve flange end of the device by means of an integral flange and to various types of piping systems at the pipe end of the device by means of a pipe connector attached to the integrated valve housing of the device. The integral flange of the device is compatible with a variety of different sized pump flanges by virtue of a plurality of slotted bolt holes present in the integral flange. The valve handle provided in the present invention for opening and closing the spherical valve ball valve of the device is preferably U-shaped, thereby allowing increased surface area for insulation material of relative thickness to be wrapped around the integrated valve housing without disturbing handle rotation or covering the handle from view.
