Abstract: A non-mechanical outdoor urn burial system that includes a one-piece rigid weather resistant tubular vault directly embedded within an outdoor ground surface with a length of the vault extending perpendicular to the outdoor ground surface, the vault having an open top, a closed end, and an elongated chamber having a dimension configured to support one set of urns completely below the ground surface in a stacked condition wherein access to the chamber is through the open top, a weather resistant cover disposed to close the open top and seal the chamber from environmental conditions, and at least two urns each having a top end and a bottom end and disposed top end-to-bottom end in a stacking yet independently displaceable condition in the chamber with each urn including a slot located proximal the top end to facilitate the independent transfer of the urn within and out from the vault.

Abstract: A biodegradable burial container to be disposed under a ground surface at roots of a plant, the biodegradable burial container including a main body to receive a corpse therein and decompose the corpse in response to contact with the corpse, such that the decomposition of the corpse nourishes the plant, and a vegetation layer disposed within at least a portion of the main body to retain moisture within the main body.

Abstract: A burial vault system and burial vault kit arrangement include a first pair of lateral sides; a second pair of lateral sides; a base having a length and a width configured to releasably receive the first pair of lateral sides at opposing ends of the length and configured to releasably receive the second pair of lateral sides at opposing ends of the width; the second pair of lateral sides each defining an inner surface, the inner surface defining at least one channel extending partially along respective heights of the lateral sides; and at least one adjustable crossbar configured received within the channel to span to brace the second pair of lateral sides to resist compression and support a casket each crossbar including at least one end cap adjustably received on an end to allow a length adjustment. A method of assembly is also disclosed. A kit assembly of the burial vault is presented.

The vase lid is capable of engaging the first attachment mechanism to substantially close the vase opening. The decorative ring has an opening extending therethrough. The decorative ring is capable of engaging the first attachment mechanism to substantially cover the first attachment mechanism when the urn is not in the vase opening and the vase lid is not attached to the vase.

Abstract: A coffin for use in the containment and storage of a human or animal corpse. The coffin comprises; a tubular housing comprising a wall defining an internal space; the wall formed from a cellulose fibre material and capable of retaining the corpse in the internal space. The coffin further comprises a part which receives and retains a body when in use. The invention is essentially a cylindrical, tubular form, to form a receptacle to serve as a cremation/burial vessel, free of corners, angles and sharp edges and manufactured from a biodegradable material. The invention contemplates use of screws—preferably stainless steel to secure those elements such as the end walls which require releasable fixation. One suitable non-toxic biodegradable material is recycled cellulose fibre such as cardboard or used paper products.

Abstract: A funerary method includes disposing a deceased on an insert, the insert constructed primarily of paper material, and having side and end walls. At least one side wall and the end walls all have approximately the same height. The insert is provided on a tray having two end panels and a plurality of wood or metal side panels affixed to a bottom panel. The method also includes employing at least a first fabric segment to cover at least a portion of a top edge of at least one sidewall of the insert and at least a portion of the deceased human body, such that the deceased human body is sufficiently visible for identification. The method also includes later removing the insert and the deceased human body from the tray. A second insert having a second deceased human body is then disposed thereon on the tray.

Abstract: A casket assembly includes a base, and first and second fabric sheets. The base includes a bottom panel, first and second side panels, and first and second end panels. The base has a length and a width sized and adapted to receive a deceased. The first fabric sheet is operably coupled to the base such that the first fabric sheet extends along and adjacent to an inside surface of the first side panel and an edge of the first fabric sheet is movable. The first fabric sheet is sized and coupled to substantially cover a width of the bottom panel. The second fabric sheet is operably coupled to the base such that the second fabric sheet extends along and adjacent to an inside surface of the second side panel and an edge of the second fabric sheet is movable. The second fabric sheet is sized to substantially cover the width of the bottom panel.

Abstract: A funerary structure for containing funerary objects, which comprises a base framework provided with a plurality of profiled elements which are arranged along at least two directions and can be fixed to a supporting wall. The profiled elements delimit laterally at least one containment recess for funerary objects. There is at least one slab for closing the recess, which can be fixed, by virtue of fixing elements, to the base framework on the opposite side with respect to the supporting wall. At least one anchoring plate is provided for the fixing of the funerary structure to the supporting wall.

Abstract: A columbarium system that facilitates simplified and less expensive manufacture and assembly. The new columbarium system includes glass or stone fronts for the niches that can be readily personalized and more readily replaced. The columbarium system includes a set of interlocking panels for creating the box or niche network by providing the walls, floors, and ceilings of the niches (or boxes). A set of extrusions or structural members are included in the system to enhance the structural integrity (e.g., vertical and horizontal stability and strength) of the assembled plates and also to receive and retain a plurality of fronts or shutters in the columbarium system. A U-shaped gasket or sealing member, which may be formed of silicone or other resilient and weather resistant material, is provided that extends about the perimeter of each front to protect each niche or box from the elements.

The corrugated paper container includes a bottom wall, first and second side walls extending upward from the bottom wall, and first and second end walls extending upward from the bottom wall. The first and second sidewalls, the first and second end walls and bottom wall form an open top container having a width and length configured to reasonably fit an adult human body in supine position. The open top container is configured to fit within the reusable shell. The first fabric segment is affixed to a first rigid substrate. The first rigid substrate configured to fit adjacent an interior surface of at least a first side panel of the reusable shell.

A cardboard insert container made of a material suitable for cremation is sized for receipt within the enclosed casket interior. At least one of the side panels or end panels is movable between a closed position to completely enclose the casket interior and an open position to allow horizontal movement of the insert container holding a deceased human body into and out from the casket interior without having to lift the insert container over the top edge of the side and end panels.

Abstract: A microwave energy interactive structure for heating, browning, and/or crisping a food item in a microwave oven includes a plurality of layers including a layer of microwave energy interactive material and a substantially continuous tie layer. The tie layer includes a thermoplastic material. Upon sufficient exposure to microwave energy, the tie layer softens and allows the adjacent layers to separate from one another to define a void between the respective layers.

This system allows the liner and casing to be manufactured at a central location and then transported to a plurality of use locations to be filled with concrete. The manufacturing method supports the system and provides an assembly advantage.

The shell has a perimeter wall, an open top, and an open bottom. The shell receives the casket through the open top. A lip coupled to the perimeter wall of the shell supports the casket when the casket is inserted into the shell. A lid is coupled to the perimeter wall selectively covering the open top of the shell when the lid is in a closed position. A plurality of straps is positioned in the shell extending between the shell and the casket. Each of the straps has opposite free ends extendable through the open top of the shell for facilitating lifting of the casket from the shell.

Abstract: A mini pad is provided with a chilled skim milk additive which is useful for reducing vulvar inflammation and lowering the acidity of a female's vulva which result from vaginal secretions which leak onto the tissue of the vulva. The mini pad can be provided with a self-contained cooling component which can be frozen or, when compressed and ruptured, will lower the temperature of the mini pad to provide the soothing cold. The skim milk can be incorporated into the mini pad in several different ways. The mini pad is useful for soothing and healing vulvar irritation, and it is mobile and can be easily used during normal daily activities without any problems whatsoever.

In so doing, each urn carrier bag (3), filled with the urn capsule (2), is fastened with vertically adjustable carrying straps (4) to the upper suspension annulus (6) and fixed in its particular position in the hollow body (1) of the urn column. The suspension annulus (6) is firmly connected to the upper cavity opening (5) of the urn column and both are covered with a cover (7) in any desired form. On the urn column surface the marking (8) of the urn column contents is provided by means of a suspension apparatus (9) which permits the attachment of flower vase holders (10) and grave candle holders (11).

Abstract: Provided herewith is an apparatus and means for interning a plurality of cremated remains and their accompanying urns in a single columbarium such that the ashes and urns are inaccessible once they are interned. The apparatus comprises a plurality of vertically stacked slanted trays for retaining the urns and a telescoping cylinder with built in ramps. The telescoping cylinder is raised in the columbarium, the urn placed in a ramp in the cylinder and the cylinder lowered back into the columbarium. The cylinder is then rotated and the urn rolls by gravitational force onto the tray for permanent storage. A storage container is available to store DNA or other memorabilia of the deceased that is accessible at a future date. There is a ring binder type structure on the top of the columbarium to inscribe or attached the deceased individual's particulars.

Abstract: A cremation niche including a concrete masonry block formed as a single unit having an uninterrupted cross section which includes rectangular sides, top and bottom panels and open rectangular front and rear openings providing access into a hollow horizontally disposed interior of the concrete block. The concrete block material consistency and overall outside dimensions are equal to those of a conventional concrete building block. A plastic liner having an open front is snugly fit within and mating against inner surfaces of the concrete block which define the interior. Abstract: A temporary casket made substantially from burnable material, having a positionable inclining mechanism inside a casket shell. The temporary casket may be inserted into a formal, traditional casket where the temporary casket shell protects the traditional casket. Inside the temporary casket, a plank is attached by a clamp or bracket to an adjusting mechanism for adjusting the tilt angle between the plank and the floor of the casket shell. The mechanism also includes a vertical threaded rod that engages the clamp, allowing the rod to be rotatable and move the clamp axially along the rod to lift or lower the plank. This allows a funeral director to easily adjust the deceased to achieve the most “restful” state, and without jostling or appearing disrespectful to the deceased. After a service, the deceased, along with the temporary casket and the mechanism itself, may be cremated.

Abstract: A modular columbarium system comprised of modular niche units each having a plurality of urn niches defined therein, wherein adjacent modular niche units are secured to one utilizing an interlocking system that provides alignment and stabilization of the units. The columbarium system is a modular design which facilitates the easy relocation of the modular niche units and the redesign of the columbarium system. The interlocking system connects the modules of the columbarium system to one another to enable easy expansion of the system without diminishing its stability. The modular niche units can also be used with existing columbarium systems. Memorial plates of various sizes are provided to cover the niche openings such that couples or family members can be grouped together under one memorial plate.

Abstract: A casket and burial system for human remains includes a casket fabricated from plastics and polymer composites, such as glass-fiber reinforced plastic. The casket includes a base member, a cover member fitting atop the base, and top and bottom closure panels having one or more ports for use in replacing the ambient atmosphere within the sealed casket with a selected gas or fluid such as nitrogen, or to inject a plastic foam into the free space remaining in the casket. The casket is preferably interred in a vertical attitude as that arrangement allows up to four caskets to fit within a standard grave plot.

A biodegradable primary container encompasses a primary remains in the lower region in closely spaced proximity to the divider.
