    Abstract: High temperature dryer seals and related methods are provided. A high temperature dryer seal can include a first substrate having first and second ends and first and second sides. The first substrate can include a low-melt polymer. The first end and the second end of the first substrate can secured together so that the first substrate forms at least a portion of an annular shape. The dryer seal can also include a second substrate secured to the first substrate at the second side of the first substrate. The second substrate can include a high temperature material that has a higher melting point than the low-melt polymer of the first substrate. The dryer seal also includes a heat resistant coating attached to the second substrate with the heat resistant coating being activated at a temperature that is higher than a melting point of the low-melt polymer.

Underneath the heating mat an air permeable layer of spacer material is connectable to a fan or suction fan for transporting air through the heating and ventilation inlay. The heating mat and the layer of spacer material are connected to each other and form a composite that can be handled as a unitary component, by a plurality of rivets which are distributed over the area of the heating and ventilation inlay. The rivets are pierced through the heating mat and the spacer material layer.

    Abstract: A tubular lower mold partitioning wall is erected on a lower mold, and a three-dimensional mesh-like body is disposed with a part of a side face exposed with respect to the lower mold partitioning wall. When a pad main body is molded by foaming a liquid raw material, the mesh-like body is penetrated through the pad main body in a thickness direction. Since the mesh-like body is disposed with a part of the side face exposed with respect to the lower mold partitioning wall, the liquid raw material is hardened between the fibers on the side face of the mesh-like body, and the side face is attached to the pad main body. Therefore, it is possible that the mesh-like body is not easily displaced with respect to the pad main body while suppressing a sweaty feeling.

Moreover, the position of the three-dimensional mesh-like body can be prevented from being displaced in the process of foaming the liquid raw material because of the projection, and a vent hole can be formed on the pad main body. As a result, a sweaty feeling can be suppressed.

Similarly to the case where crumpled paper within a cardboard box keeps it from collapsing, the folded or crumpled material spontaneously develops structural rigidity at relatively low volume fractions without a specific externally imposed design. The folded or crumpled proppants may also be used alone or together with conventional proppants for sand control in gravel packs or frac packs.

For each perforated metal reinforcing foil, the spurs present on the foil generally have a height in relation to the surface of that foil that does not exceed about 1.3 times the thickness of the thinnest of the flexible graphite layers to which it is attached. A composite plate of the present invention enables the manufacture of gaskets that resist temperatures up to 550° C. under continuous service.

After application of the tape to the metal joint portion, a paint is applied to the tape, which is followed by a heating process in which the tape is heated, and, therefore vulcanized.

    Abstract: A seal for a sensor element of a gas sensor for determining the oxygen content in gases including exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine, which seal seals the sensor element in a longitudinal bore of a housing, the seal including a sealing stack which is positioned within the longitudinal bore of the housing and around the sensor element in use and which is comprised of two sealing bodies and an additional seal positioned between the two sealing bodies. The two sealing bodies are comprised of a pre-sintered ceramic material. The additional seal is comprised of a pre-pressed powder material and has a porosity which is lower than that of the two sealing bodies. The two sealing bodies and the additional seal are compressed together within the longitudinal bore in use, whereby at least the additional seal is deformed so that the sensor element is sealed in a gap-free manner within the longitudinal bore.

The dynamic sealing face adjacent the journal bearing is fabricated from an elastomer/phenolic engineered specifically for wear resistance The bulk of the seal adjacent the static seal retention cavity typically formed in the rotary cone is molded from an elastomer engineered specifically for precise control of the seal contact force adjacent the dynamic seal face when the seal is compressed against the dynamic face by the seal retention cavity in the cone.
