Abstract: A method of rocking a wheeled infant carrier (30) comprises using a rocking device (10) having a pair of discrete units (12,14). Each unit has a ground-engaging base (18a,b) and a platform (16a,b) supported thereon through bearings for movement relative to the base in a first direction. A drive one (12) of the units has a motor in a housing (20) arranged to drive the platform (16a) of the drive unit relative to its base back and forth in said first direction. A first wheel (34) of the carrier (30) is placed on the drive unit and a second wheel (32) on the second, slave unit (14), with the axes of rotation of the wheels being arranged parallel said first direction. The motor is operated to rock that end of the carrier that is supported by those wheels from side to side.

Abstract: A method of propelling a wheeled platform, which includes creating a source of energy upon a first change in orientation of the platform around an axis approximately parallel to a longitudinal axis of the platform and wherein the platform rotates around the axis. The source of energy is stored and released to propel the wheeled platform upon a second change in orientation of the platform around the axis.

Abstract: A laptop computer bag includes a portable workspace, front extendable legs, and rear extendable legs. The portable work space is capable of being extended out from the laptop computer bag by extending the front extendable legs and the rear extendable legs from a collapsed position. The front extendable legs and the rear extendable legs provide support for the portable workspace. The back pack is the same only the workspace the main support wall that would rest on a persons back, with padding (outside of the pack) so the user does not feel the hard surface of the workstation.

Abstract: A rocking device is described for receiving a lower part of a carriage, perambulator, cot or the like in particular to rock an infant therein, with oscillation means to impart an oscillating motion thereto comprising an elongate roller (2) mounted about a generally longitudinal axis, and drive means (9) associated therewith to cause the roller to rotate, the transverse shape of the roller and the position of the axis together being such that the roller imparts an oscillating motion to the carriage in mechanical engagement therewith in use. A method of rocking a carriage, perambulator, cot or the like is also described.
