If the gas migration rate increases at greater than a first rate, determining a latent heat energy release rate; if the latent heat energy release rate increases at greater than a second rate, look for at least one transient outgoing long wave radiation (OLR) anomaly using measurements collected from remote sensing atmospheric thermodynamic measurement(s); if the transient outgoing long wave radiation (OLR) anomaly has been observed, look for at least one ionospheric anomaly using measurements collected from ionosphere measurement device(s); and if the at least one ionospheric anomaly has been observed, forecasting that an earthquake is likely to occur within one to four days from the observation of the at least one ionospheric anomaly.

At least one optional protrusion may be locating, meaning that the top of the protrusion does not engage the channel rod when the tab is fully attached.

    Abstract: A sheet divider may include a sheet stock having an edge and a tab. The tab may be disposed at the edge of the sheet stock and have an opening. The opening is configured to enable a label to be inserted into the tab from a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the edge of the sheet stock. For example, a label may be inserted into the tab from a direction of the sheet stock. In other words, a label may be inserted in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the edge of the sheet stock. The tab may include a projecting portion that extends beyond the edge of the sheet stock and that is free of openings. A pocket may be formed in the projecting portion to receive a label. In addition, the projecting portion may be curvilinear in shape. The labels may be relatively large so that a proximal portion extends out of the tab. The sheet stock may include retaining structure for retaining the corners of the proximal portion of the label against the sheet stock.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a device for producing a book page index for facilitating the search for certain sections in a book. The device includes a bearing surface (1) on which a pile (3) of pages is placed. According to the invention, an index notch or thumb section (31) is to be formed on the upper region of the pile, along the front edge (7). To this end, preferably a circular, disk-shaped cutter head (17) is used, the cutter head having a cutting contour (21) on the circumference thereof. The device includes at least one displacement device (19) for moving the support and the cutter head towards or away from each other, so that the notch or thumb section to be formed can be produced on the front edge by means of the cutter head. The height of the thumb index can be set by lowering the bearing surface.

    Abstract: An index tab labeling system for use with suspended file folder of the type having vertical slots along an upper margin, the labeling system comprising a flexible index tab having a single layer of flexible material with lugs for insertion into the vertical slots in the file folder. A pad of labels is affixed to the index tab by a releasable adhesive. The pad of labels has multiple labels which are held to each other by releasable adhesive. The user may write index information on the uppermost label and when the index information requires changing, the uppermost label may be peeled off and the next label is made available for index information to be entered thereon. A pad of three labels is considered to be optimum. When all the labels in one pad are used, a new pad of labels may be releasably adhered to the index tab. In an alternative embodiment, each of the labels may be supplied with a portion that does not have a releasable adhesive applied to it.

The improved folder has an enclosure for holding documents and printable panels with an integrated tab and integrated document labels. The folder panels, integrated tab and labels are printed with machine-readable identifying indicia and text in one pass through a standard printer. The tab is foldable such that folder identifying indicia and text are visible from either the front or back side of the folder. After printing, the documents labels are removeable and affixable to the folder documents. Images of the folder documents are captured with a standard optical scanner which also reads the document identifying indicia printed on the labels. The document images form a database indexed according to the indicia printed on the document labels.
