  • Patent number: 10839369
Abstract: A first client device can be in communication with a server. The server can store in a database records associated with a first user account and a second user account. The first user can scan a code printed on an object. The first client device can read the code and transmit it to the server. The server can activate a default message when it receives the code. The first user can pass the object to a second user. The second user can scan the physical object at a second client device. The second client device can read the code and transmit it to the server. Once the server receives the code from the second client device, the server can transmit the default message from the first user account to the second user account according to a transmission plan. The second client device can display the transmitted message.

  • Patent number: 10298079
Abstract: A method of making a magnetically loaded pre-impregnated tape uses a drum 1 that is heated and which is associated with a heated bath 2 containing a thermoplastic resin solution. A fiber tape material 4 is fed onto the drum 1 and, just prior to the fiber tape material meeting the periphery of the drum, the fiber tape material 4 is impregnated with an isotropic magnetic particle material 6 to form a pre-impregnated tape 8. The pre-impregnated tape is fed to a heating station where it is bonded with a thermoplastic resin impregnated fiber tow to produce a magnetically loaded composite tape. The heating station includes a rotatably driven heated mandrel (20) having a magnetic field (41, 42) embedded therein to provide the pre-impregnated tape (8) with a desired magnetic configuration.

  • Patent number: 8950783
Abstract: A multiple-ply label roll includes end-to-end labels. Each label is operable to be adhesively applied to a substrate and includes top and bottom label plies. The bottom label ply includes an outer removable border portion defined between interior and outer ply edges and removable from the top label ply in a removal direction. The interior ply edge includes spaced apart side edges that extend along the removal direction to define a pair of spaced apart side sections of the removable portion. The interior ply edge includes a generally transverse end edge interconnecting the side edges to define an end section of the removable portion, with the end section extending between the side sections and being removed generally after the side sections when the removable portion is removed in the removal direction.

  • Patent number: 6863310
Abstract: A mailing assembly for use in connection with non-domestic delivery of a mailpiece wherein the sender of the mailpiece is required to complete a sender's declaration. The assembly includes a mailing form that may be sub-divided into customs declarations forms, a dispatch notice and a backing sheet. The backing sheet may be peeled off the mailing form exposing adhesive on the backing sheet. The backing sheet may be folded in such a way as to provide an envelope to adhere to the mailpiece to be non-domestically delivered. The customs declarations forms and, dispatch notice may then be inserted into the envelope whereupon the mailpiece may be non-domestically delivered. The customs declaration forms and dispatch notice of the mailing form may be variably printed with information to aid in the non-domestic delivery of the mailpiece.

  • Patent number: 6422938
Abstract: A mailer type business form intermediate, and method of producing a mailer from the intermediate, effect folding in a novel manner in order to produce a business form that is particularly advantageous for providing a negotiable instrument, such as a bank check or money order. The intermediate has conventional components, but with first, second and third fold lines defining a sheet of paper comprising the intermediate into first through fourth panels. The fourth panel has indicia defining the negotiable instrument and at least one line of weakness separating the negotiable instrument from the rest of the fourth panel. Tacking adhesive patterns may be disposed substantially parallel to the top and bottom edges of the intermediate to hold the first panel second face to the second panel second face adjacent the top edge and second fold line, and to hold the fourth panel second face to the second panel first face adjacent the first and third fold lines, when the intermediate is folded about the fold lines.

  • Patent number: 6349971
Abstract: The invention is an account management system using an adhesive transaction receipt, provided at the point of transaction, which can be directly transferred to an account register. In this system, the adhesive transaction receipt contains a printed record of information relating to the transaction, such as the transaction type and the amount of the transaction. The adhesive transaction receipt is temporarily affixed to a more complete transaction receipt and includes an adhesive so that it can be permanently attached to the account register. The adhesive transaction receipt simplifies bookkeeping and eliminates errors by relieving an account user of the requirement of entering individual transactions by hand.
