  • Patent number: 11959573
Abstract: A steel ring includes a locking component. The locking component is provided on an inner surface of a ring body in a protruding manner. The locking component includes locking teeth, and the locking tooth is sheet-like and includes a fixed part and a contact part. Multiple locking teeth constitute a first locking tooth group, and with regard to the locking teeth in the first locking tooth group, the distance between the fixed parts is smaller than the distance between the contact parts. Multiple locking teeth constitute a second locking tooth group, and with regard to the locking teeth in the second locking tooth group, the distance between the fixed parts is greater than the distance between the contact parts. The ring body has a first state and a second state. When the ring body is in the first state, the ring body is in an unclosed annular shape, and when the ring body is in the second state, the ring body is in a closed annular shape.

  • Patent number: 11953134
Abstract: A fitting for a pipe has a cylindrical sleeve and a spigot fitted concentrically within the sleeve. The sleeve is slidable along the spigot in a proximal direction. The sleeve has a gripper ring cavity with a conical bearing surface with a diameter that is smaller at the distal end and a larger at the proximal end. One or more gripper rings fit within the cavity and slidingly engage the bearing surface. The spigot has an outer surface sized to fit within a proximal end of the pipe. The inner surface of the gripper rings and the outer surface of the spigot define an annular space with a first radial width sized to accept insertion of the proximal end of the pipe. When the sleeve is moved with respect to the spigot in the proximal direction toward a sealed position, the rings are inwardly compressed by the bearing surface to grip an outer surface of the pipe. The end of the pipe is drawn into a space between the sleeve and the spigot with radial width smaller than the first radial width.

  • Patent number: 8096590
Abstract: A seal material and a washer are fitted on a piping main body of a first piping, a bead portion is inserted into a bead portion insertion hole and the seal material and the washer are inserted into a seal material insertion hole. In this state, a female screw is threaded onto a male screw until a piping side stopper and a nut side stopper are abutted, and the nut member is joined to a piping side tube portion. In a state where the piping side stopper and the nut side stopper are abutted, the seal material is compressed in an axial direction via the washer by the small diameter tube portion and the seal material pressure-contact surface. The seal material is elastically joined to an outer circumferential surface of the piping main body and an inner circumferential surface of the bead portion insertion hole in a radial direction.

  • Patent number: 7832773
Abstract: An invention generally relates to an adjustable connector that acts as a coupling device to connect an object (such as pipe or tubing) having a range of diameters and thread styles to an item (such as a piece of equipment or another length of pipe or tubing). The device is generally comprised of a casing member and an internal member, which is further comprised of tab members positioned in tab openings in a core member. Preferably, a semi-flexible sheath covers the internal member and seals it to the casing member and the object, so that a chamber is formed between the internal member and the casing member. Mechanical compression members may be placed in the chamber. As pressure increases within the object, the chamber pressure may also increase, forcing the sheath against the tab members, which are forced against the object, holding the object in place by friction.
