Abstract: A connector with a biocompatible fluid passageway and method for manufacturing thereof is described. The biocompatible connector may be used in an analytical instrument (AI) system as a union, an adapter, a tee, a cross, a manifold, a valve, or for other fittings or components. The connector has a reinforcement insert and a biocompatible molding covering portions of the reinforcement insert. The reinforcement insert has a first portion, a second portion, and a middle portion between the first portion and the second portion. The first and second portions have threaded sections and each have a plurality of non-threaded sections. For a given portion, the junction of the non-threaded sections forms a lip by which to prevent the molded material from flowing into the threaded sections. In certain embodiments, an interior web is used in the reinforcement insert to provide additional structural support.

  • Publication number: 20130320667
Abstract: A leakage-proof pipe fitting of quick connection for Reverse Osmosis Membrane (RO) water treatment unit of household comprises a pipe fitting of elbow type, a sealing O-ring, an annular cooperative bushing collar, an accessory latching clip and an adapted cylindrical elastic sleeving collet with an elongated annular delimiting flange, whose longitudinal thickness is lengthened into at least double length for the original longitudinal thickness of the conventional annular delimiting flange to extend the embracing distance from the top surface of the adapted cylindrical elastic sleeving collet to the bottom surface of the cylindrical retainer in the pipe fitting of elbow type so that the curvature for the bent water pipe/tube covered by the embracing distance is reduced. Thereby, the sealing O-ring is free from uneven stress of the bent water pipe/tube. Consequently, it has effect in preventing RO water treatment unit from the leakage of compressed water therein.

Abstract: A connection block is revealed. The connection block includes a main body, at least two sleeve joint segments extending from a periphery of the main body, and at least one reinforcement part set between the main body and the sleeve joint segment. The sleeve joint segment is disposed with at least one slot. Thereby the connection block is stronger, not damaged or cracked easily. When the connection block and a pipe are connected, the sleeve joint segment is compressed a bit due to the slot and then is connected to an inner surface of the pipe securely by a recovery force of the sleeve joint segment. The assembling is easier and the connection is more stable. The connection block is with better practical value.
