  • Patent number: 7857359
Abstract: A quick-action closure coupling for connecting a supply or discharge line to a wall of a collecting tank of a heat exchanger. The coupling can include a first coupling part and a second coupling part dimensioned to mate together. At least one sealing ring can be positioned between the first and second coupling parts. A latch can be provided in order to lock the coupling parts together. In order to simplify the quick-action closure coupling, the terminal end of the one coupling part can have a mitered cutout into which is received a portion of the other coupling part.

  • Publication number: 20100193060
Abstract: A conduit connector device includes an open-ended sleeve with aligned openings through upper and lower walls of the sleeve for insertion of a fastener to secure the lower wall of the sleeve to a support. A cover member or bridge is inserted into the sleeve between two conduit ends to cover the opening in the upper wall after the lower wall is attached to the support, restricting access to the previously inserted fastener. The ends of two adjacent lengths of conduit to be connected are inserted into opposite ends of the sleeve to abut the opposite ends of the bridge, and the adjacent lengths of conduits are thereby attached to the support.

  • Patent number: 7210505
Abstract: An elbow for a dryer exhaust vent conduit. The elbow can have two nestable channel sections, each channel section having a generally C-shaped cross-section, which may be substantially semi-circular. Each channel section has a connection mechanism along at least one side such that the two channel sections are joinable to form a substantially tubular conduit which has a smooth interior surface, reducing friction losses to the airflow speed of the dryer exhaust. Each channel section can be curved in a large radius arc to provide a turn to the elbow, which may extend around a quarter circle to provide a 90° turn to the dryer exhaust vent conduit. Snap fit locking tabs may lock the two channel sections together. Ends of the elbow may fit into or outside adjoining conduit pipes. The channel sections can be nested for ease of transport and storage and can be easily assembled on site.

  • Patent number: 5145217
Abstract: A dryer duct assembly employs two universal elbow components and at least one flexible component. The flexible component has ends capable of connecting to another flexible component or to a universal component without the use of other devices such as hose clamps to secure connection. Each elbow has ends capable of attaching either to the wall opening or the dryer, in addition to attaching to the flexible component in the same manner as the flexible components may attach to each other. The elbow has an outer portion resembling the outer portion of a quarter-toroid, and a square type inner portion. The outer portion is made of a pair of mirror image hemi portions connected at adjacent flanges. The inner portion has an L-shaped plate with flow-through orifices in each leg of the L.

  • Patent number: 5007666
Abstract: A pipe fitting for encompassing a conduit comprising a pair of interlocking segments with each segment comprising an arcuate configuration having at least two longitudinal edges with one edge of each segment comprising a tongue split longitudinally thereof in a direction substantially perpendicular to its length. The other of the edges comprising a groove conforming to and receiving the tongue formed on the juxtapositioned edge of the other of the segments. The tongue when forced into the opening in the groove in the other of the segments causing its two parts to engage each other along the length of the slot and when in the groove to again separate causing the tongue to interlock with the periphery of the groove thereby interlocking the segments of the pipe fitting together.
