  • Patent number: 7823930
Abstract: A coupling comprising a receiving part (1), a securing part (9) and an insertion part (17) includes blocking elements (6, 13?) whose engagement preventing the securing part (9) from moving from an extended position into a retracted position is released by the axial displacement of latching arms (13) of the securing part (9) under the effect of a retaining ring (22) upon the insertion of said insertion part (17), such that when the insertion part (17) is properly arranged in a receiving space (16) of the receiving part (1), the securing part (9) can be shifted into the retracted position in which said insertion part (17) is secured. What is achieved in this way is relatively simple modification of the assembly force through design measures, high wear resistance, and simple and operationally reliable manipulation of the inventive coupling with regard to the release of the connection between the receiving part and the insertion part, especially under confined spatial conditions.

  • Patent number: 7661725
Abstract: A coupling has a socket and a plug that is inserted into and connected to the socket. The socket has a locking element and a sleeve actuating element that are radially displaceable to lock the plug as inserted into the socket. A sleeve is provided over the outer peripheral surface of the socket. The inner peripheral surface of the sleeve has a locking surface that presses the locking element from the radially outer side into a lock position. Further, the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve has an inclined surface extending in the circumferential direction thereof. As the plug is progressively inserted into the socket, the sleeve actuating element is pushed radially outward by the plug while engaging the inclined surface, causing the sleeve to be displaced in the circumferential direction. Thus, the inclined surface radially aligns with the locking element, and the locking element is pushed radially outward while engaging the inclined surface by the plug inserted progressively.

  • Patent number: 7644955
Abstract: A quick coupling type fitting is disclosed that connects two ends of two different pipes together in a fluid tight manner. It is designed for convenience in installation, high strength, compact size, easy manufacture with a low production cost, high efficiency and does not require the use of special tools for installation. The coupling utilizes a grab ring module that has a grab ring made with embedded stainless steel, thereby strengthening the fixing force and allowing for quick installation. A flaring surface on a retaining flange has an angle that corresponds to a tapering surface of the grab ring module. When the flaring surface and the tapering surface contact each other, the grab ring module compresses the surface of the pipe. Because the grab ring module has an outer plastic body with a small inner part, the grab ring module can be compressed to the pipe without causing fatigue of any members inside of the fitting. A specialized tool allows for quick and easy dismantling of the fitting.
