Abstract: A land vehicle traction control device consisting of a box containing sand, or other suitable anti-skid material, mounted near the wheels of a vehicle, a mechanism which controls the flow of sand to the wheels, and a nozzle that distributes material or sand to the wheels, said nozzle containing an ice pick and a heater element for discharging ice buildup. The control mechanism is activated by a selenoid which gets its power form the tail or stop lights and is controlled by switches located in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
Abstract: An attachment to increase the capacity of the carrying bin of a utility cart or of a wheelbarrow includes a plurality of frames with a barrier in the frames and with the frames removably connected to the carrying bin. A portion of the attachment will open at an end of the carrying bin providing for easy loading and unloading of the carrying bin. The frames connect to each other by slots that provide for the attachment to adjust to different sized carrying bins. The frames are easily removed when the extra bin capacity provided by the attachment is not needed.
Abstract: A sleeve having a readily removeable attachment to a tank containing gritty particulate supports a piston and cylinder device for opening normally closed valve seats to permit flow of the particulate to the path of a rolling vehicle wheel. The device is actuated to open position by compressed gas which is directed against the particulate flowing through the sleeve only when the valve seats are open.
