Remote Control Patents (Class 292/DIG25)
  • Patent number: 6116067
Abstract: A lock system for a tool container provides the convenience of remote control without compromising the simplicity of the manual key operation. The lock system has an electronically controlled actuating mechanism coupled to the locking mechanism for locking and unlocking the tool container. The coupling between the electronically controlled actuating mechanism and the locking system allows a user to manually override the electronically controlled actuating mechanism with the conventional key-turning operation.

  • Patent number: 5056343
Abstract: A motor-vehicle latch has an actuating lever displaceable between a position in which a respective door of the vehicle is locked and a position in which the respective door is unlocked. A locking knob connected to the lever is accessible from inside the vehicle to displace the lever between its positions. The actuator has a housing mounted directly on the door latch and formed with at least one longitudinally directed abutment face, a motor in the housing, a nut longitudinally displaceable in the housing by the motor between unlocked, locked, and antitheft positions, and a slide in the housing movable by the nut between locked and unlocked positions and formed with a recess receiving a portion projecting from the lever. At least one flexible arm extends longitudinally from the slide and has a head formed with a face directed longitudinally opposite the abutment face of the housing.

  • Patent number: 5048150
Abstract: A door holder that includes a holding member adapted to be secured between the door and a frame of the door. The holding member includes a lever that may be clamped in either a first released position in which the door is freed to be opened and closed or a second holding position in which the door is held open. A foot operated actuating means operated by a user controls the lever to move it into a clamping position to hold the door open.

  • Patent number: 5025883
Abstract: A motorcycle provided with a central trunk and left and right trunks at the rear portion of the vehicle body. The vehicle body frame of this motorcycle is composed of a main vehicle body frame at the front and a rear vehicle body frame that can be detachably mounted to this main vehicle body frame. The rear vehicle body frame constitutes a trunk assembly jointly with a central trunk, a left trunk, a right trunk and other equipments such as lamps, and after the above-mentioned trunk assembly has been formed preliminarily as one unit outside of a main assembly line, it is detachably mounted to the main vehicle body frame on the main assembly line. Accordingly, the work on the main assembly line becomes little and simple, and a productivity is improved. Upon replacement of a rear wheel tire, it is only necessary to dismount the entire trunk assembly together with the rear vehicle body frame without individually dismounting a large number of equipments.

  • Patent number: 5009456
Abstract: A door lock apparatus includes a latch bolt which can be displaced from an operable position by actuating a door handle driver against the action of a biasing spring. A displaceable catch is provided for retaining the latch bolt in a retracted position. The catch is biased by a second spring into its catch position from which it can be displaced by an electromagnetic actuator, which in turn is connected to a wireless signal receiver. An alarm detector, remotely placed from the lock apparatus and connected to a wireless signal transmitter, is adapted to be activated when the detector detects a state of alarm, sending a signal which is detectable by the receiver at the lock apparatus for displacing the catch out of its catch position.

  • Patent number: 4998758
Abstract: A remote release actuating system for a deck lid latch includes an actuator lever pivotally mounted on the latch so that pivotal movement on the actuator lever unlatches the latch. At least a first and second remote actuatable actuator means are respectively coupled to the actuator lever by first and second lost motion coupling mechanisms so that the operator actuation of either one of the first and second operator actuatable actuator means pivots the actuator lever about the pivot means to unlatch the latch while the other of the first and second remote actuatable actuator means remains unactuated and free of any backdrive effort being imposed thereon. Accordingly, the effort required to effect a remote release of the deck lid latch is minimized.

  • Patent number: 4962955
Abstract: A luggage compartment lid openable upon release of the deck lid latch and a release handle mounted in the operator compartment and connected to the latch by a cable for remotely releasing the latch upon operator actuation of the release handle. A drive gear is rotatably mounted on the latch to release the latch upon rotation of the drive gear. An actuator gear is also rotatably mounted on the latch and has gear teeth meshing with gear teeth of the drive gear. The actuator gear is connected to the cable so that operator actuation of the release handle rotates the actuator gear and the drive gear to release the latch. A shift bar is located inside the luggage compartment and is operable to selectively shaft the actuator gear away from the drive gear so that the gear teeth are disengaged and operator actuation of the release handle is thereby disconnected from the latch so that the deck lid cannot be opened without the use of a key to operate the conventional key cylinder release of the deck lid.

  • Patent number: 4945784
Abstract: A connector assembly for connecting a linearly shiftable cable to a lock structure includes a plastic housing which mounts a plastic lever, one arm of which is connected to the cable. The other leg of the lever has an abutment for engaging a release lever of the lock structure when the lever is rotated to operated position. A coil torsion spring surrounds a hub of the lever and has its legs engaging anchors on the arms of the lever. After the desired length of the cable is established and the cable secured to the one arm of the lever, installation of the connector assembly, the anchor of the one leg of the spring to the arm of the lever is broken so that the one leg of the spring can engage the housing and bias the lever to non-operated position.
