    Abstract: A latch device on a vehicle tailgate having upper and lower doors comprises an open handle assembly for releasing a lower latch assembly from a lower striker, a key cylinder for releasing an upper latch assembly and an upper striker, a coupling mechanism displaceable between a locked position for disabling an opening operation of the handle assembly and an unlocked position for enabling the opening operation of the handle assembly. The upper latch assembly has a latch and a ratchet. The ratchet is displaceable between an engaging position for engaging with the latch located in a door-closed position and an initial position for making contact with the latch located in a door-open position. The coupling mechanism is displaced to the locked position when the ratchet is in the engaging position and displaced to the unlocked position when the ratchet is in the initial position.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an electromotive actuator with a housing for a central door locking system of a motor vehicle having a first slide adjustable by a first electric motor between two end positions. The first slide can be connected with a door lock of the motor vehicle independently of the end position and is preferably decoupled from the electric motor in the end positions, so that the first slide is manually adjustable between its end positions. Such an electromotive actuator is provided with a theft protection capability in the sense that, after a windshield of a motor vehicle is smashed in, an unlocking of the door by the inside locking handle is no more possible because the parts of the actuator are not actuated by operating the inside locking handle. Finally, an unlocking operation initiated from the outside is possible when the theft protection is put into operation.

The pull closed mechanism cooperates with a fork latch for bringing the fork latch from a preliminary latching position into a main or final latching position, whereby door slamming for properly closing a vehicle door is not necessary. It is now sufficient if the user closes the door so that the fork latch is in its preliminary latching position since the present invention mechanism will then close the vehicle door completely.

    Abstract: The central locking installation for motor vehicle door locks blocks the locking element of the door lock by means of an additional, separately controllable blocking member. The locking element and the blocking member are driven by separate electrical drives which are connected into mutually parallel-connected current paths of one common drive current circuit. The drive direction of the two drives is controlled by common switches of a pole-changing circuit which reverses the current direction. Into the current path of the drives of the blocking member there is connected a control switch by way of which these drives can be switched on selectively. In the unlocking direction and the unblocking or releasing direction a time control system controllable by means of the door key in the unlocking of the door switches on the drives of the locking element and of the blocking member simultaneously. The guide plates are controlled by a remote control lever via a cable, and the slots thereof engage the pins so that the guide plates control the position of the actuation members, but with some mutual free travel. The actuation members also engage with front and rear door lock members, usable by passengers, so that if the remote control lever is actuated, the door lock members are in turn actuated to lock the respective doors, and to disable the door lock members. That is, the door lock members can be actuated either directly or by the remote control lever.
