Patent number: 7063592Abstract: A system and method for the removal, handling, and inspection of honey frames from beehive boxes. The system includes a handle bar positioned on the top plate of an improved frame structure. The handle bar retains two threaded T-bolts that are aligned with threaded aperture inserts that have been positioned in the top plate to form the improved honey frame. The threaded bolts are secured within the threaded aperture inserts to a spaced attachment to the frame. Once positioned, excess top wax is scraped away and the frame lifted from the hive by the handle bar. The tubular handle bar is appropriately configured to be inserted into a circular clamp that may be positioned on a table or other structure. The circular clamp grips and retains the handle bar and the attached frame in a position appropriate for inspection.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2004Date of Patent: June 20, 2006Inventor: William Pointer

Patent number: 6986538Abstract: A device for storing and carrying hole saws comprises a stack pin and a retaining handle removably attachable to the stack pin. The stack pin has a widened “bun” or head at one end and a lateral keyhole slot near its other end. One end of the handle has a key-like element, by which the handle can only be detached from the stack pin when the key is properly aligned with the stack pin's keyhole slot. For use, the handle is detached from the stack pin by first orienting the handle to align the key with the keyhole slot and by then sliding the handle through the keyhole slot. Subsequently, hole saws are nested and stacked onto the stack pin, and the handle is re-attached to the stack pin, preventing the hole saws from being removed from the stack pin.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2002Date of Patent: January 17, 2006Inventor: Robert J. Patent number: 6846027Abstract: A panel carrying device for holding a concrete form panel is disclosed. The device comprises an elongate handle with opposite ends. A pair of elongate arms are each mounted on one of the opposite ends of the handle with the handle extending between the arms. Each of the arms has a first end and a second end, with the first end of each of the arms being insertable into a hole in the concrete form panel. An elongate slot is formed in each of the arms for engaging an edge of the wall of the panel about the hole in the panel. The slot is formed in the first end of the arm. A longitudinal axis of the slot of each of the arms is positioned substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the respective arm for aligning the wall of the panel substantially parallel to the handle when each of the arms is extended through the holes in the wall of the concrete form panel.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2002Date of Patent: January 25, 2005Inventors: Matt E. Patent number: 6776528Abstract: Cooperating strips respectively having loop-type and hook-type connector surfaces are passed through loops forming handles of carrying bags to retain the carrying bags as a group. The ends of the strips, which are typically taken from supply rolls have saw tooth ends, and are heat sealed for protection against fraying. In one embodiment, the strips are aligned end to end. In another embodiment, the loop-type and hook-type connections are staggered so that a first end of one of the strips lies intermediate the ends of the other strip, and whereby the opposite end of the first strip, after being passed through the handles of the bags is brought around so as to lie adjacent to the first end of the first strip. A method is provided for forming the hook-type and loop-type strips to prevent fraying due to use.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2001Date of Patent: August 17, 2004Inventor: David V. Wills
