    Abstract: A housing support structure includes a tool housing for receiving and supporting a U-shaped locking anti-theft tool, in a vehicle having a main frame section and a pair of seat rails. The housing support structure includes a rear cover apparatus having right and left side covers for covering both seat rails from the outside, and a bottom panel section forming the bottom of the housing. The bottom panel section extends between both side covers and is provided for covering both seat rails from the top. The housing is configured to fit on top of the seat rails, with a major part of the seat rails disposed outside of the housing.

    Abstract: A theft prevention device includes a security module integrated with the powered seat system. The security module is programmed to instruct the powered seat system to move the vehicle seat between an original position and a forward security position with the seat member and lumbar support member moved forward to prevent a thief from accessing the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The theft prevent device further includes a gearing mechanism linking the seat member and the lumbar support member for controlled forward movement of the lumbar support member to a fully forward position flush with a forward most position within a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The theft prevent device further includes further includes a trigger switch linked to the security module for sending a trigger event signal instructing the security module when an individual leaves the vehicle or when an individual returns to the vehicle.

The transport vessel has a portion, such as an opening or a fitting, with multiple locations at risk of tampering. The portion of the transport vessel is covered with a pliable cover to cover the multiple locations. The cover is then sealed over the portion with a tamper proof seal in a manner effective to prevent removal of the cover, and to prevent access to the locations without tampering with the seal or the cover.
