Abstract: A patient transport apparatus transports a patient over a floor surface. The patient transport apparatus comprises a support structure and support wheels coupled to the support structure. An auxiliary wheel is coupled to the support structure to influence motion of the patient transport apparatus over the floor surface to assist users. An actuator is operatively coupled to the auxiliary wheel and operable to move the auxiliary wheel relative to the support structure from a retracted position to a deployed position. A user interface sensor is operatively connected to the actuator and configured to generate signals responsive to the user touching the user interface. A controller is operatively coupled to the user interface sensor and the actuator to operate the actuator in response to detection of signals.

Abstract: An apparatus for a mobile floor standing structure with a wheeled base, attached to a dry-erase board is described. The dry erase board can be secured to the stand at a vertical orientation to give rise to a vertically standing writable dry-erase board. Alternatively, the dry-erase board being pivotably oriented form a vertical position to a horizontal position to yield into a writable dry erase board in a table configuration. The wheeled base adds ease in maneuverability and portability of the apparatus.

Abstract: A luggage system with a wardrobe element which extends from the luggage portion and supports a crossbar for hanging clothing or costumes. An arm extends away from the crossbar for supporting a privacy curtain. The wardrobe element is secured within the sides of the luggage, and the opening of the luggage can be opened and closed without needing to store the wardrobe element. In a preferred embodiment, the wardrobe element includes two pairs of structural legs extending out of respective pockets within the luggage, the legs terminating at the crossbar.

Abstract: A child seat transporting system comprising a base being detachably connectable to a vehicle seat, a safety part being detachably connectable to the base and a child seat being detachably connectable to the safety part. The child seat comprises at least one child seat handle to carry the child seat when disconnected from the safety part. The safety part, when disconnected from the base, is detachably connectable to a frame of a stroller, whereby when the safety part with the child seat connected thereto is connected to the frame of the stroller, the child seat is detachable from the safety part.

Abstract: A convertible meditation cushion that facilitates multiple postural positions for meditation, including sitting, kneeling, and lying down. The preferred embodiment of the cushion has three semi-circular segments that are connected in series with hinges. The hinges allow the three semi-circular segments to be rotated with respect to one another to create a variety of configurations to facilitate the multiple postural positions for meditation.

Abstract: The water-dispensing method for furniture incorporates a water recovery process, a water STT process, and a discharge process. The water recovery process: a) converts water contained in a gas phase in the atmosphere into water in a liquid phase; b) initially treats the converted liquid phase water to remove microorganisms and other chemical contaminations; and c) transports the initially treated liquid phase water to the water STT process. The water STT process: a) receives and stores the initially treated (liquid phase) water from the water recovery process; b) subsequently treats the stored water with a final treatment to remove microorganisms and other chemical contaminations; and, c) transports the treated stored water to the discharge process. The discharge process: a) receives the water from the water STT process after the final treatment; and, b) controls the discharge of the water received from the water STT process.

Abstract: A chair that converts into a bed. The chair includes a sleeper frame assembly with a back frame assembly coupled with a hinge to a rear frame assembly. A sliding coupling connects the back frame assembly to a moveable seat assembly with a seat frame assembly. The sliding coupling includes a slotted bracket which may include a flanged beam. When the moveable seat assembly is moved forward, the back frame assembly and rear frame assembly unfold into planar alignment with the seat frame assembly, whereby cushions on each frame assembly form a bed.

Abstract: A modular furniture seat assembly comprises a seating portion having a front end, a rear end, a pair of opposing side edges, and a seating connector component on each of the opposing side edges. A back portion is provided and has a lower end, an upper end, and a pair of opposing side edges. The lower end of the back portion connects to the rear end of the seating portion. A pair of lateral support arm assemblies is provided, each having an inner surface and an outer surface, with each of the pair of lateral support arm assemblies having a first arm connector component which is releasably connectable to the seating connector component. The lateral support arm assemblies comprise an armrest portion and a leg portion, with the leg portion supporting the modular furniture seating item when it is an assembled condition.

A multi-stage included-angle adjustment device is arranged between the seat and the backrest. The swing arm is provided with a mounting base, and the seat is rotatably connected with the mounting base. A first locking device is arranged between the seat and the mounting base for locking the seat. The seat is provided with a second locking device for locking the first locking device. A sliding connection rod in linkage with the backrest is provided for unlocking the second locking device. A third locking device in linkage with the mounting base and interacting with the multi-stage included-angle adjustment device is arranged between the seat and the mounting base. The present disclosure has a simple structure, achieves convenient operation and safety, and avoids mal operation.

The seat allows the attainment in a single unit both the healthy balance/core-strengthening of a fitness chair and a conventional chair.

Abstract: Implementations of mobile platforms for assisting a person with a physical disability may include a base coupled to a motor and a deck coupled to a base, wherein the motor is configured to move the deck along the base. The mobile platform may also include a controller coupled with the motor that is configured to direct the motor that moves the deck over the base to a first position to allow a user to sit on a first seating device resting on the deck and to direct the movement of the deck to a second position different from the first position to allow a user to sit on a second seating device resting on the deck, wherein the first seating device and the second seating device are each configured to seat a human.

Abstract: The water dispensing system for furniture includes a water dispensing system that is built into or attached onto an item of furniture. Water is stored within a reservoir within a water system housing and may be pumped through a first filter to one of two retractable hoses. The water is provided via a dehumidifier and second filter that draw moisture from the air and purify the resulting water. At least one retractable hose is provided, and includes a mouthpiece. When the at least one retractable hose is released, said hose is pulled back into the item of furniture to stay out of the way. When not in use, the retractable hoses are wound around spring-loaded reels.

Abstract: An auxiliary toilet seat assembly for assisting an obese individual with urinating and defecating into a toilet includes a chair that is selectively positioned over a toilet. The chair is selectively mounted thereby facilitating urination and defecation into the toilet. The chair has a weight capacity of at least 130.0 kg to support an obese user. The chair has an aperture extending therethrough to pass urination and defecation therethrough and into the toilet. A cushion is coupled to the chair for enhancing comfort of the chair. A pan is slidably coupled to the chair to capture the urination and defecation.

Abstract: Seat with backs are constructed incorrectly. The problem is the curve at the thoracic region in the chair back that pulls a person into a c-curve skimp. All previous attempts to correct this problem focus on the wrong area (cervical, lumbar or full back) or are shaped/sized incorrectly. Our Seat Device to Correct the C Curve Posture While Sitting fixes this problem. It is does so for three reasons: because of its specific placement at the thoracic region only, that it is constructed to be evenly flat for support to hold the spine in correct alignment, and how the seat device attaches depending on specific seating challenges.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for a vehicle seat with a convertible seat back. In one embodiment the seat back has a seat back cushion with left and right spaced apart side portions and a lower lumbar portion, with a center cushion disposed in a first position between the side portions and above the lumbar portion of the seat back cushion. The center cushion has a lower end attached to the seat back, a back side facing the seat back, and a front side facing away from the seat back. The center cushion is configured to be moveable from the first position to a second position in which the upper end is proximate a lower end of the seat back, and the front side is facing a front side of a lumbar portion of the seat back cushion.

A cavity is provided in a rear face of the seat back. A cover is carried on the seat back. That cover is displaceable between a first position covering and concealing the cavity and a second position opening the cavity. Abstract: The present invention provides an object holding device used in a vehicle seat. The object holding device comprises an object holder coupled to an extendable device via a deployment rod and is extended and retracted in and out a map pocket of the vehicle seat. An extendable rod of the extendable device is pivotably connected with the deployment rod and lockable with the deployment rod. At a first position where the deployment rod forms a first angle with the extendable rod, the object holder is changeable at a slanted position and a leveled position to hold an object.

Abstract: There is provided a pivoting bench comprising a central spine extending along a longitudinal axis; seat slats configured to be mounted to the central spine and to rotate about the longitudinal axis for alternating a seating surface formed by at least a part of the seat slats from a first side of the bench to a second side of the bench opposite the first side with respect to the longitudinal axis of the central spine; and a support structure for supporting the central spine, the boomerang-shaped seat slats and the bench to the ground. Abstract: A chair assembly including a toilet seat, a chair seat lid and a backrest. The toilet seat, the lid and the backrest are connected relative to one another such that they are positionable in alternative chair and toilet-use modes. The lid is behind the generally upright backrest when the assembly is in the toilet-use mode and is on the toilet seat when the assembly is in the chair mode. The assembly can have self-supporting legs whereby it can form a standalone chair remote from the toilet. When in a male urination mode, the toilet seat is lifted and the backrest is in a lifted, generally horizontal position.

Abstract: An apparatus for stretching includes a base element, a housing, a strap element, and a ratcheting element. The housing has a strap egress, a first handle, and a second handle. The strap element has a first end and a second end, where the first end is coupled with the base element and the second end is mounted on a rotating element within the housing, such that the strap element can move in and out of the egress. The ratcheting element is for decreasing an exposed length of the strap between the base element and the housing by rotating one of the handles in a first direction. The base element has a diameter that is adjustable between an operating configuration and a stored configuration. The base element forms a planar surface when in the operating configuration and holds the housing above the planar surface when the base element is in the stored configuration.

Abstract: A device that can be configured as a walking aid, such as one or more canes, or as a chair for sitting. In the walking aid configuration, the device may include two canes. Each cane may have a main leg and a secondary leg that may be rotated parallel to the main leg to form a cane, or rotated away from the main leg to form one half of a chair support. One of the canes may include a seat crossbar that folds out and extends between the two chair supports formed from the two canes. Handles may be attached or integrated into the main legs. Because the chair configuration may be formed from only five linear members (two main legs, two secondary legs, and the seat crossbar), the canes may be compact and lightweight when folded up into the walking aid configuration.

Abstract: A divider configured to be secured in the seats of automobiles for forming a physical barrier between passengers is disclosed herein. The divider can be used for children, pets, or adults. A rectangular prism shaped booster may be provided below the divider for raising the height of the divider. The profile of the divider is designed to fit securely against the back of a seat and the bottom of the seat. The curved front side of the divider allows the driver to view all passengers, maintain views out the windows, and still be an effective barrier without being so large as to be in the way. A notch is provided in the curved front side of the divider for receiving a seat belt or strap for securing the divider. The divider and the booster may have removable covers with pockets for holding items, such as water bottles, tissues, and wipes.

Abstract: A foldable chair includes a stick shank, a collar sleeve movable between distal and proximate positions on the stick shank, a carrier sleeved on the stick shank, and a seat unit. The main module includes a processor and one or more biometric sensing devices coupled to the processor. The one or more biometric sensing devices include a right fingerprint sensor coupled to the processor and a left fingerprint sensor coupled to the processor. The right fingerprint sensor is positioned proximate a right end of the main module and the left fingerprint sensor is positioned proximate a left end of the main module. The right fingerprint sensor is positioned a predetermined distance apart from the left fingerprint sensor. The at least one modifiable section includes at least one first input device coupled to the processor.

Abstract: A portable passenger seat divider and method for providing a protective separator between adjacent seats. The passenger seat divider includes a middle portion formed into a channel that is adapted to be removably mounted to an armrest disposed between the adjacent seats. The passenger seat divider also includes an upper portion extending above the armrest when the passenger seat divider is mounted to the armrest and a lower portion adapted to extend below the armrest of the seat when the passenger seat divider is mounted to the armrest.

Abstract: An infant holding device, including an infant holding portion, including a ductile sheet covered with infant-compatible material and a stand portion, adapted to support the infant holding portion in a vertically diagonal position, so that the infant holding portion thereby has a top and a bottom. Abstract: A pillow has a lower surface with forward and rearward edges spaced by a length of about 9 inches coupled by perpendicular lateral side edges spaced by a width and an arcuate upper surface with a forward section formed with a radius of curvature of about 5 inches and a rearward section formed with a radius of curvature of about 15 inches. The pillow has a maximum height between the upper and lower surfaces of about 2.5 inches. The upper surface has a high point closer to the forward edge than the rearward edge. Between 40 and 45 percent of the length of the pillow is forward of the high point and 55 and 60 percent of the length of the pillow is rearward of the high point. Similarly configured planar side surfaces of the pillow have a curved upper edge and a lower edge co-extensive with the side edges of the lower surface. The method of exercising uses the pillow as a fulcrum to support a user while lifting one portion of the user's body.
