Abstract: A portable lightweight cheering apparatus integrated with a collapsible tubular frame chair. The apparatus comprises sound recordings, electronic equipment to store the sound recordings, and devices to convert the recordings to sounds reproduced by built-in speakers A push of any one of momentary pushbutton switches disposed on the chair armrest sides will cause a recording sound to emanate from the speakers; a tap on any one of momentary pad switches will cause a recorded drum sound to emanate from the speakers enabling a user to be a virtual drummer and a virtual cheering group.

Abstract: An electronic percussion instrument includes a chair having a seat, a first arm disposed on one side of the seat, and a second arm disposed on an opposite side of the seat. A set of piezoelectric triggers is arrayed along each of the first and second arms and the triggers are positioned to be struck by the thumbs of a percussionist while sitting on the seat of the chair. The triggers are connected to an electronic drum machine. Sequential striking of the triggers with the thumbs of a percussionist sitting in the chair causes corresponding percussion sounds to be played by the electronic drum machine. Additional triggers are disposed on the floor and can be struck with the feet of the percussionist to produce additional percussion sounds. Thus, drum rhythms can be played easily and naturally while sitting in the chair.

Abstract: A combination instrument stand and seat has a support structure having at least one leg, and a seat pivotally mounted on the support structure with a seat pivot element to pivot between a horizontal position and a tilted position. A latch mechanism is adapted for locking the seat in the horizontal position. An instrument support extends from the support structure and is shaped to cradle a bottom of the instrument.

Abstract: The musical rocking chair has a body support provided with a seat, a pair of sidewalls and a back projecting upwardly from the seat. The sidewalls of the base are spaced apart to provide with the seat a cavity within the body support. The sidewalls have ground engaging surfaces to permit the body support to rock back and forth when manipulated by a person occupying the seat. A concertina musical instrument is located within the cavity and includes a pair of keyboard operated music boxes and a bellows system for supplying air to the music boxes when the body support is rocked forwards and backwards. Abstract: Various embodiments of a performer's chair are disclosed including a seat element having an elongated portion for supporting one leg, the oppositfe side of the chair being angularly cut away in order to permit freedom of movement for the performer and to facilitate positioning and manipulation of an instrument such as a guitar. A preferred embodiment includes a back rest for the performer, the seat cushion being hinged and one of three legs being formed by a hinged gate-leg to permit the chair to be folded up when not in use. Another embodiment includes a similar chair combined with a case for a musical instrument or the like.

Abstract: A stand for supporting a musical instrument, such as a sousaphone, tuba horn or other large instrument, in playing position for use by children too small to normally handle such instruments. The stand has an upright standard with a parallelogram mechanism mounted near the upper end thereof, which mechanism is spring tensioned to counter-balance the weight of the horn or other instrument placed thereon, so that the horn may be raised and lowered substantially, with a minimum of effort on the part of the player, thereby enabling the horn, if it is a Sousaphone, to be brought into position around a musician who may be seated in a chair. If the horn is a tuba, it may be conveniently positioned in front of the musician. Regulating mechanism is provided to properly tension the spring to counterbalance horns having different weights. Horn engaging mechanisms are provided to engage the horn and hold it in playing position.
