Abstract: A vehicle interior system is provided herein. The vehicle interior system includes a seating assembly. The seating assembly includes a seatback that is pivotally coupled to a seat-base, and is operable between a use position and a stowed position. An anchoring feature is disposed vehicle rearward of the seating assembly. A hammock is coupled to the anchoring feature and is configured to extend therefrom and attach to the seating assembly when the seating assembly is in the stowed position.

Abstract: A collapsible free standing exercise apparatus for performing multiple body weight exercises is disclosed. The collapsible free standing exercise apparatus comprises a pair of hollow vertical bars separated at a predetermined distance via a connector bar assembly removably fastened at a lower portion of each hollow vertical bar. A first handle bar is removably fastened to each vertex joint on each pair of hollow vertical bars and a second handle assembly removably fastened between each pair of hollow vertical bars at a predetermined position via a support section disposed at distal ends of the second handle bar. A method of fixing the collapsible free standing exercise apparatus for use is also disclosed.

Abstract: A cushion for inserting in the legwell between individual seats in rows of seats, for example in a vehicle, is disclosed. The top of the cushion can act as a surface for a user to lie down. The cushion can be inflatable and can be deflated for easy transport. The cushion can have multiple reservoirs so the internal pressure can be separately adjusted for the base and for the mattress of the cushion, similar to a box spring and a mattress in a common bed.

Abstract: Seating arrangements are provided that combine standard fore- and aft-facing lie-flat seating assemblies with a center premium lie-flat seating assembly. A center suite can include a center support shell and at least one center seat. The center support shell can provide a plurality of legwells for association with a plurality of standard seats. A center seat can be disposed between legwells in a non-overlapping manner so that legwells straddle the center seat. Surface area can be provided over the legwells to provide generous living space for a seated passenger, and to cooperate with a center seat to provide a bed for a reclined passenger. The support shell can have parallel endwalls orthogonal to parallel sidewalls to provide a center bed that is generally uniform in length and width. Legwells can be disposed in parallel and mirrored configurations.

Abstract: An asymmetric swing has a large seat having a large seat seat bottom. A large seat frame connected to the large seat. The large seat frame includes a large seat right frame and a large seat left frame. A small seat has a small seat seat bottom that is smaller in supporting surface area than the large seat seat bottom. A small seat frame is connected to the small seat. A pair of suspension brackets include a first suspension bracket and a second suspension bracket. The large seat frame and the small seat frame are suspended from the pair of suspension brackets. The large seat is connected to the foot pedal and the small seat is connected to the foot pedal. The large seat frame, the small seat frame, the foot pedal, and the pair of suspension brackets are pivotally jointed to form a four bar mechanism.

Abstract: A set includes two blocks each of two seats convertible for lying down, wherein the two blocks are arranged with the seats of one block face-to-face with the seats of the other block inside a circumscribed rectangle. Each block includes a first seat and a second seat. The first-seats of the two blocks are arranged along a first diagonal of the circumscribed rectangle and the longitudinal axes of the first seats are oriented so that their directions are close to the first diagonal and the first seats are substantially face-to-face. The distance between the two first seats is such that a foot area of a first seat of a block is superposed when seen from above with a foot area of the first seat of the other block. In the recumbent configuration, the planes to lie down on of the two first seats are at different heights.

Abstract: A leg restraint for side-seated vehicle occupants that includes a leg-restraining member for being mounted in proximity to a side-facing vehicle seat and selectively moveable between a deployed, laterally-extending leg-protecting position and a retracted, non-leg interfering position, and a sensor for detecting abrupt movement in the direction of forward travel of the vehicle incident to an abrupt deceleration of the vehicle and outputting a signal. A gas-inflatable bag is positioned operatively proximate the leg-restraining member and is responsive to the signal output by the sensor for inflating and deploying the leg-restraining member upon the occurrence of the abrupt deceleration of the vehicle.

Abstract: Described are passenger seat assemblies having at least one seat back support pivotally coupled to an overhead support structure, at least one seat pan pivotally coupled to the at least one seat back support, and at least one foot rest support may be pivotally coupled to the seat pan. The seat back support may be configured to rotate into a retracted position adjacent the overhead support structure. The seat pan may be configured to rotate into a retracted position adjacent the seat back support. Finally, the foot rest support may be configured to rotate into a retracted position adjacent the seat pan.

Abstract: An article of furniture and seating system are disclosed. The article of furniture comprises a base providing a seating area and a support coupled to the base. A linkage couples the support to the base so that the support can be presented in a generally upright position and in a generally forward position relative to the base. The seating system comprises a base comprising a seat and a backrest comprising a first surface and a second surface. A member couples the backrest for movement on a path of travel relative to the base. The backrest is moveable to an upright position and to a forward position. When the backrest is in the first position the first surface is presented in a generally downward orientation. When the backrest is in the second position the first surface is presented in a generally forward orientation.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a vehicle seating arrangement includes a fore-facing lower seat convertible between a sitting position and a lie flat sleeping position in a lower horizontal plane, an aft-facing lower seat convertible between a sitting position and a lie flat sleeping position in the lower horizontal plane, and a fore-facing upper seat positioned between the fore-facing lower seat and aft-facing lower seat, the fore-facing upper seat convertible between a sitting position and a lie flat sleeping position in an upper horizontal plane. The seats may be arranged so that portions of the fore-facing lower seat and aft-facing lower seat underlap the fore-facing upper seat when the seats are positioned in the lie-flat sleeping position.

Abstract: A chair for supporting a couple. The chair has first and second backrests mounted to the seat of the chair for movement from a substantially upright first position to a tilted second position at an angle with respect to the first position. A couple sits facing each other in the chair, one member of the couple being seated in the lap of the other, each member of the couple being respectively supported by their respective backrest, allowing the couple to rock back and forth while seated in the chair.

Abstract: The present invention is a device which quickly and inexpensively transforms two, face to face aircraft passenger seats into a horizontal bed surface adapted to provide a user with a flat surface upon which a user may lie on their back, side or stomach. A collapsible foundation block is adapted to form a space filling function as to a space between two face to face seats that are secured to a floor structure forming a horizontal surface. The foundation block is preferably inflatable and is supported from a floor surface between the two face to face seats, whereafter a supporting structure of the foundation block rises to a top surface generally parallel to the floor. The elevation of the top surface is approximately a level of a top surface of seat cushions of the two facing seats.

Abstract: A passenger compartment with first through fourth placement spaces that include first through fourth accommodation units, where the accommodation units are of a modular design. The first and second accommodation units are a first seat and a second seat which can both be changed between a sitting position and an essentially horizontal resting position. The first and second placement spaces are arranged in one placement plane facing each other. The third placement space is arranged beside the first placement space and the fourth placement space is arranged beside the second placement space. The arrangement includes a delimiting element arranged laterally beside the first and second placement spaces and extending to be perpendicular in relation to the placement plane. First and second couchette elements are affixable to the delimiting element such that passengers can be accommodated who are in positions lying down above the first and second placement spaces.

Abstract: This dinette for use in a recreational vehicle includes a collapsible table assembly, which shifts vertically between a raised table position and a lowered bed position and eliminates the need for support posts or legs. The collapsible table assembly includes a table top/bed deck mounted to a vertically shiftable carriage and supported by a four point linkage. The carriage rides on four wheels, which are seated in two opposed tracks of a wall bracket. The support linkage allows the table top to be raised and lowered between the table and bed positions. A gas piston or spring biases the table top toward the raised table position.

Abstract: A booth-type seating arrangement with fore and aft seats for airplanes and aircraft. A cabinet with a stowable video monitor and pull-up table can be positioned between the seats. Sliding gates integrated into the aisle seat end base can be deployed to form an enclosed play area for children. Theater-style seat bottoms can be provided which flip-up to provide more floor space. Child booster seats can be built into the seatbacks. The seatback and bottom cushions can articulate and slide within fixed frame members to combine with opposite cushions to form a flat sleeping configuration for passengers.

Abstract: A swing has a fixed support structure and a rigid subframe suspended therefrom. The subframe is suspended on a single pivot axis, thereby permitting pendular motion below the support structure. Seats are mounted on the subframe to provide side-by-side and/or face-to-face seating. The subframe is configured to arc around behind the seats rather than intrude into the space between the seats.

Abstract: A fold-up seat mountable in mobile living quarters has a sidewall defining a storage space covered by a seat platform. The seat platform can be opened and closed about a hinge apparatus to provide access to the storage area when the seat platform is open and provides a place for sitting when the seat platform is closed.

Abstract: A bench assembly is provided which includes a seat assembly and at least two backrest assemblies. The back assemblies are rotatable from one side of the seat assembly to an opposite side independently of one another such that persons sitting on the seat assembly can be facing in the same direction or in opposite directions.

Abstract: A platform chair for sexual intercourse includes front and rear legs connected to each other by cross braces. A horizontal flat supporting platform connects the legs and cross braces. The platform supports a cushioned surface. The cushioned surface is connected to the horizontal platform by a number of springs, usually five. The cushioned surface slopes from the upper head to the lower hip sections. In front and below the hip section of the cushion is a padded seat. The seat is used by the dominant partner and is located between the legs. A handrail is also located above the flat padded support such that it is within easy reach of either participant. Supine footrests are located in front of the hip portion of the cushion and above the seat for use when the non-dominant partner is in a supine position.

Abstract: The child's seat for airplanes comprises a mounting adapted to be fastened to a partition wall of an airplane, and a seat fastened to the mounting such that the seat can assume two different vertical positions. In an upper takeoff and landing position, the seat is located above the head strike arc of a person seated on an airplane seat, while in a lower communicating position, assumed during the flight, the seat is at chest level of the accompanying person. Thanks to the child's seat, the number of adult passengers normally occupying passenger seats of an airplane need not be reduced.

Abstract: A child's safety seat for use with a forwards facing adult seat in an aircraft has a framework for supporting a child facing backwards, towards the adult seat, above the floor with the framework supported on the floor in front of the adult seat. A fabric pouch for holding the child is supported on the framework and has a back, a bottom, a front and two leg openings. A strap is provided for securing the fabric pouch to the adult restraint of the adult seat. A hook arrangement is provided for securing the framework of the child's safety seat to the frame of the adult seat. Thus a child can be restrained in the safety seat facing a restrained occupant of the adult seat.

Abstract: A passenger seat configuration for an aircraft cabin having a fuselage wall with windows therein and an aisle for permitting movement within the cabin. The configuration includes an outboard seating unit for being positioned adjacent the fuselage wall of the aircraft, the outboard seating unit having a primary scat formed of a seat back and seat bottom, and a forwardly spaced-apart ottoman movable with respect to each other to define upright, semi-reclined and fully reclined positions. An inboard seating unit is provided for being positioned adjacent the at least one aisle and between the inboard seating unit and the aisle, the inboard seating unit having a primary seat formed of a seat back and a seat bottom, and a forwardly spaced-apart, free-standing ottoman movable with respect to each other to define upright, semi-reclined and fully reclined positions, the primary seat and ottoman of the inboard seating unit being positioned aft of the primary seat and ottoman of the outboard seating unit.

Abstract: A portable lawn swing which has a relatively stable frame of a simple construction and lightweight for transportability purposes. The inventive device includes an X-member, four base members attached to the ends of the X-member, four legs attached to the base members, a plurality of support members pivotally attached to an upper portion of the legs which support a pair of seats, a pair of screens attached below the pair of seats, a plurality of cup holders, and at least one bar pivotally attached to a leg which is selectively engageable to a support member for preventing movement of the pair of seats. The X-member comprises a pair of U-shaped members centrally attached to one another forming an X-shape. The pair of U-shaped members retain the legs in the desired position thereby preventing them from moving during use of the invention.

Abstract: A face to face play area including a base portion that has a plurality of cylindrical members. The cylindrical members are positionable adjacent a corner of the base portion. Included is a top portion that has an upper side, an underside and a pair of circular openings. The upper side has a rectangular play area that is spaced between the circular openings. The underside has a plurality of cylindrical slots, with each slot capable of receiving one of the cylindrical members of the base portion. Each circular opening forms a peripheral ledge along the underside of the top portion. Each ledge has at least four pegs projecting. Lastly, included are a pair of seat members, with each seat member has a pair of elongated straps. Each strap pair has a disc-shaped cushion positioned within. Each strap has a pair of supporting ends with a pair of keyholes. Each keyhole couples with at least one of the pegs of one of the circular openings.

Abstract: A children's swing ride is composed of an articulated seating platform having an axis of articulation. A pair of hangers is connected to the seating platform on opposite sides of that axis and a pair of levers extends from the platform on opposite sides of that axis. In use, the platform is suspended by way of the hangers from an overhead support so that riders sitting on opposite ends of the platform can swing back and forth and, by exerting force on the other rider's lever, cause articulation of the seating platform.

Abstract: An opposing passenger-infant seat system for public transportation such as aircraft is disclosed, wherein an infant seat is near a passenger seat. The passenger seat is suitable for receiving an adult. The infant seat and the adult seat are arranged to be essentially facing each other. The infant seat is attached typically to an aircraft cabin partition by an adapter and is installed in a plane above the seat cushion of the adult seat. A space is provided between the infant seat and the adult seat which is smaller than the average length of a human arm.

Abstract: A locking device for a front seat of a double stroller which is capable of locking the front seat after it is turned around 180 degree from a forward position to a backward position includes two engage posts to engage or disengage from a notch of a locating block and a notch of a hook plate fixed on each of two seat locating rods of a main frame of the double stroller so as to lock or unlock the front seat immovable or movable after it is turned around.

Abstract: This invention relates to a dual-seat stroller and in particular to one including a front frame having arm members and connectors, a rear frame having arms members and connectors joined with the connectors of the front frame, leg members pivotally connected with the connectors and having a fixing block with a rod member, the rod member being formed with an engaging seat and a tubular member, two handles provided with a positioning seat pivotally connected with the tubular member and the rod member at one end and pivotally connected with the arm members, and linking rods pivotally connected with the arm members and leg members, linking rods connected with the arm members being pivotally connected with linking rods connected with the leg members, whereby the stroller may be expanded or collapsed as desired.

Abstract: A device for facilitating sexual intercourse of a man having limited mobility of the lower part of the trunk, which includes a support under which the lower part of the man's trunk can fit and a seating platform resting on the support and capable of rotation relative to the support. The seating platform is annular in shape and is oriented substantially horizontally. The seating platform can accommodated a seated woman who can thereby have sexual intercourse with the man without the man bearing the weight of the woman and without his having to exert motions of the lower part of his trunk.

Abstract: A rocker chair has a table concealed in an arm thereof which is extendible into an operative horizontal position. A stop block member is slidably mounted on a side base member of the chair and is moved into an operative position wherein it is effective to prevent forward and backward rocking motion when the chair is in the upright position. An actuating cable is connected between the stop block and the table and is effective to automatically move the stop block into the operative position when the table is extended. The invention can be incorporated into a rocker/recliner chair or a simple rocker chair.

Abstract: An apparatus for pendulum motion for balancing at least one person or user in a plane, generally parallel to the ground, is characterized in that an extension for a footrest is carried by the suspension member further from the seat, and the extension of the suspension member is arranged in such a manner that, in the position of equilibrium of the apparatus, despite its connection to a suspension member remote from the seat in question, the footrest for the feet of the user of the seat is placed vertically downward of the means for pivotal connection of the suspension member closest to the seat in question.

Abstract: A foldable frame structure for a foldable baby cart, which comprises two bilaterally symmetrical sub-frame assemblies connected together by two foldable fixed foot-pedal levers transversely. The sub-frame assemblies each compriese transversely an upper handle frame having an upper connection foldably connected thereto in series at its front end by a foldable link plate, a lower seat frame having a lower connection foldably connected thereto in series at its front end, back seat adjustment sheet and a fixed back seat connection tube foldably vertically connected between the upper connection and the lower connection at the front, and a front frame having its upper end pivoted to the front end of the handle frame by a plastic connection and its middle part connected to the connecting end between the fixed back seat connection tube and the seat frame.

Abstract: A foldable two seat face-to-face tandem baby carriage includes a pair of wheeled front legs, a pair of wheeled rear legs, and, two pairs of horizontal longitudinal bars extending between the legs. A U-shaped push handle connects pivotally with the rear of the upper bars, and the free ends of the push handle substantially abut the rear legs about midway along the length. Locking means interengage the push handle with the legs in the extended position and bars in the horizontal position to provide a tandem seating construction with seats and backrests facing each other. Folding is effected when the backrests are parallel and an additional locking slot is provided in a support for anchoring the forward backrest in the parallel position. Release of the lock by foot pressure on a transverse bar extending between the rear legs causes the push handle to move downwardly and forwardly and the two legs to collapse and fold towards each other to be substantially parallel with the push handle in the folded position.

Abstract: A chair system particularly useful for a dental office or other operatory wherein the head region of a subject is to be treated by a dentist or other operator, comprises a subject's chair for seating the subject in an upright position; an operator's chair for seating the operator in an upright position facing the subject; and a mounting for mounting the operator's chair at a higher elevation than the subject's chair such that the legs of the operator straddle the legs of the subject when both are seated in their respective chairs. The chair system further includes a vertically-extending barrier between the operator's chair and the subject's chair terminating below the head region of the subject when seated in the subject's chair, separating the operator from the subject but permitting free access by the operator over the top of the barrier to the head region of the subject.

Abstract: A garden swing of the type popular from 1890 is unstable when entering and leaving. This could result in accidents, especially for elderly people.A novel, easily operated swing stabilizer device has been provided by this invention. Also the invention provides a tabletop that moves only horizontally when swinging. The tabletop provides a means for accommodating books, foods and drinks while relaxing and swinging.

Abstract: A foot support structure adapted to be used with a seat of an oscillating lawn chair swing is disclosed. The foot support structure is provided with impact absorbing means preferably secured parallel to and spaced away from at least one edge portion of said support means to cushion the impact of the foot support. The impact absorbing means preferably comprises polyethylene tubes arranged generally parallel to an axis of oscillation of the lawn chair swing.

Abstract: A play gym comprising a horizontal bar from which swings and other rides are suspended is supported at its opposite ends by legs. Special pivot joints connect the pairs of legs to the horizontal bar which permit each pair of legs to be folded together and against the horizontal bar so that the gym can assume a stick-like configuration. When the legs are unfolded to support the horizontal bar, parts of the pivot joints engage the ends of the horizontal bar thereby preventing end-wise movement and racking of the play gym. Provision is also made for substituting one pair of legs by a horizontal pivot arrangement which can be secured to a vertical support so that the gym can be used in a small area and be folded out of the way against the support when not in use.
