  • Patent number: 8544950
Abstract: A seat having a seat surface and a backrest also includes a reboard seat frame which is pivotably mounted in the lower region of the backrest and/or in the connecting/transition region of backrest and seat surface. At least one part of the cushion of the backrest is connected to the reboard seat frame and can pivot with this reboard seat frame. The reboard seat frame in a stowed position is arranged essentially parallel to the backrest and can pivot from the stowed position into a reboard in-use position in which it occupies an angular position between the planes of the backrest and of the seat surface. In the reboard in-use position, the part of the cushion of the backrest which is connected to the reboard seat frame forms the seat surface of a reboard child seat.

  • Patent number: 8146874
Abstract: An adapter plate assembly which provides a convenient interface between a mounting support assembly for suspending an instrument driver robotic instrument system above a operating table. The adapter plate securely mounts to the operating table, and may be adjustable so that it can be adjusted to fit various sizes and models of operating tables. The adapter plate assembly comprises a main plate which rests on the surface of the operating table. A first clamp assembly which removably attaches to the operating table is mounted on one or more horizontal adjustment rods which are slidably received in one of the main plate in order to provide adjustability to the width of the adapter plate assembly. On the opposing end of the main plate, a second clamp assembly is coupled main plate. In order to secure the support assembly of a robotic instrument system, an adapter rail is also coupled to the main plate.

  • Patent number: 6022075
Abstract: A portable cushion to use with a chair having a seat with upwardly extending elements which may be hip supports or arm rests on each side of the seat having a material thickness sufficient to raise the seating area above the plane of the arm rests or hip supports so as to effectively increase the seating area of the seat. The cushion includes a top wall, a bottom wall, a forward wall, a rearward wall, a first side wall and a second side wall, the respective wall defining a material thickness. The first side wall and the second side wall each have an indentation formed therein to accommodate the upwardly extending arm rest or hip support when the cushion is placed upon the seat of the chair. The material thickness of the cushion is such that the upper wall of the cushion extends at least to the height of the upwardly extending elements thereby effectively creating a wider seat, unencumbered by the upwardly extending elements.

  • Patent number: 4541667
Abstract: A first reclining back is pivotally connected to a first seat section. The first back is shiftable to a predetermined position in which the first back is coplanar with the first seat section. The first seat section and back constitute a first seat. A first armrest is detachably connected to the first seat. A second reclining back is pivotally connected to a second seat section. The second back is shiftable to a predetermined position in which the second back is coplanar with the second seat section. The second seat section and back constitute a second seat, which is spaced from the first seat. A second armrest is detachably connected to the second seat. The first and second armrests having been detached from the first and second seats can be used to fill the gap between the first and second seats to form a substantially-flat surface in conjunction with the first and second seats when the first and second backs are in their predetermined positions.
