Tractor Dumping Attachments Patents (Class 298/17T)
  • Patent number: 6036275
Abstract: An attachment mounting structure is provided for cargo bed and sprayer assembly attachments usable on a utility vehicle adapted for use in turf related applications. The structure includes pivotable supports between each attachment and the vehicle frame that permit them to be interchangeably mounted on the vehicle. The structure further includes a connection on each attachment that permits it to be secured to a hydraulic cylinder carried by the vehicle, thereby allowing the attachment to be tilted upward and rearwardly so as to provide access to the engine and/or related drive components carried beneath the attachment. The mounting structure also permits the two attachments to be quickly and easily interchanged so that the vehicle could be better utilized.

  • Patent number: 4807904
Abstract: A riding mower chassis frame comprises a pair of identical beams extending along the chassis at its opposite sides. A one-piece channel-shaped member bridges the beams near the rear of the chassis to give the frame rigidity, provide for laterally swingable connection to the frame of a rear axle on which steerable wheels are mounted, and serve as a pan in which movable weights are carried. A platform mounted on the rear of the frame, for carrying interchangeable accessories, is swingable to and from a horizontal load carrying position about a transverse axis at the rear of the frame. An automatically engaging releasable latch on the platform cooperates with another frame member that bridges across the beams.

  • Patent number: 4596347
Abstract: A rear mounted utility box with a dumping pivot for a lawn and garden tractor is disclosed. A removable housing rests on a horizontal U member of a frame. A vertical plate for attachment of the frame to a yoke is mounted on one of its faces to the U's crossbar. There is a backward extending bracket attached at generally a right angle to the plate's lower edge. A pair of struts, one each spanning from generally the free end of each U member's legs to the bracket supports and stabilizes the frame. A mounting yoke with two arms is attached to the plate's other face at the plate's upper edge. One arm is connected to the tractor's frame generally beneath the tractor's seat, and the other arm serves as a stop for the housing. There is a pivot pin and pivot seat, a lock for releasably locking the housing to the frame, and a stop to limit the pivot. When the lock is released, the housing is free to pivot through the pivot seat until limited by the stop, thereby placing the housing in a dumping mode.

  • Patent number: 4348153
Abstract: A rock box which mounts in front of a farm tractor and is suitable for loading, transporting and dumping rocks. The rock box can be lowered, tilted and raised by a single hydraulic cylinder and can be operated from the operator's seat of the farm tractor. Levers are provided to apply hydraulic cylinder action directly to raise or lower the rock box of this invention to the ground level. A chain is provided to transpose linear action of said cylinder into tilt or rotary action for unloading the contents of said rock box. Control connections are provided to control the rock box movements from inside the tractor cab.
