Abstract: A method for supplying fibres to a filling tool in brush manufacturing machines, includes, per operating cycle, taking a bundle of fibres (7) from a selected fibre supply duct (4,5) to the filling tool (3) by means of a bundle take-up device (6) which cooperates with at least two fibre ducts (4,5), and using, for the selective supply of the fibres (2-2A), moveable closing devices (19,20) which cooperate with the supply ends (11,12) of the fibre ducts (4,5) and which ensure, by their movement that fibres (2-2A) can only be taken from one fibre duct (4,5) at a time by the bundle take-up device. The closing devices (19,20) are mounted on a common support for simultaneous movement each cycle.
Abstract: Individual bristles and/or batches of bristles are withdrawn from one or more magazines and are mechanically or pneumatically transferred to positions of alignment with the sockets of one or more forms. The individual bristles and/or batches of bristles are thereupon drawn into the aligned sockets by suction prior to being welded or glued to an adapter which constitutes or forms part of a brush body and defines the open ends of sockets during drawing of bristles into the form or forms.
Abstract: Process for removing the wrapper from a fibre bundle, characterized thereby that it mainly consits in successively gripping the fibre bundle (1) at the wrapper (2), freeing the embraced bundle of fibres (4) over a determined length from said wrapper (2), gripping said bundle of fibres (4) at the freed part and removing it from said wrapper (2), and carrying it away to a suitable arrangement, while the empty wrapper (2) is carried away as waste.

Abstract: A fibre loading device for a brush manufacturing machine, characterized in that it has a replaceable fibre box which has a number of fibre chambers; a mechanism which allows movement of the fibre chambers one by one in front of the fibre magazine of the brush manufacturing machine; and mechanism allowing the transfer of the fibres from a selected fibre chamber into the fibre magazine of the brush manufacturing machine.
Abstract: The invention pertains to a double fibre magazine for brush manufacturing machines, characterized in that it mainly consists of a combination of two fibre magazines which are immovably located opposite to the bundle plucker, each fibre magazine being provided with a separating device and a pressing component for pressing the fibres towards the bundle plucker; and means which alternately put the fibres beyond the reach of the bundle plucker in one and the other fibre magazine.
