  • Patent number: 10501024
Abstract: A communication device weather shield and vehicle door mount apparatus protects a communication device from moisture and debris while being operated by a user, and mounts the communication device to a vehicle door panel, so as to be operable from directly on the vehicle. The apparatus provides an anchor panel that mounts the communication device with an anchoring mechanism, and enables manipulation of the communication device with a hand grip. The apparatus provides a protective transparent shield that is fixedly disposed in a parallel, spaced-apart relationship with the anchor panel. The shield is larger than the anchor panel, covering the anchor panel to protect the communication device from moisture and debris. The transparent shield is sized to slide in a recess between a vehicle side inner window surface and a side inner door so that the communication device hangs on the side of the vehicle below the window.

  • Patent number: 5346298
Abstract: A retaining bar is disclosed for retaining plural removable storage media cartridges in a spaced-apart relationship in a horizontal or vertical storage cabinet drawer. The retaining bar preferably comprises a molded rubber elongated strip which is press-fit onto an internal divider wall or an upper rail of a cartridge storage drawer or shelf. The strip has a generally inverted "U-shaped" cross-section defined by two spaced-apart horizontally elongated vertical walls each having top edges joined by a convex arcuate upper wall, and having bottom edges angled to receive the internal divider wall of the drawer. An inwardly-protruding shoulder is provided in the space between the strip walls, which shoulder prevents the strip from riding upward off the drawer divider or rail when the device is in use. One or more laterally outwardly-protruding retaining ribs are provided, each having plural compression notches thereon to enable the ribs to compress inwardly when contacted by cartridges in the drawer.

  • Patent number: 4078657
Abstract: A case is disclosed for storing and transporting a tape cassette having at least one tape reel that includes a clutch element registrable with a corresponding driving spindle of a reel drive mchanism so that the reel may be rotated. The case comprises a base formed to receive the cassette and a non-rotating latch pin registrable with the clutch element of the reel to prevent reel rotation and, hence, unwinding of stored tape. The latch pin is mounted with the base by a leaf spring assembly which permits the pin to retract to accommodate the cassette when not registered with the clutch element. However, the spring assembly urges the pin into reel-rotation preventing engagement with the element when the two are registered.
