  • Patent number: 8689704
Abstract: A sterilizable surgical accessory table includes a pair of independently movable tabletops supported by a base. The front tabletop is supported by a carriage which allows the position of the front tabletop to be adjusted fore and aft, while maintaining it in a horizontal plane. The rear tabletop cannot move fore and aft, but it can be tilted about a transverse horizontal axis. The rear tabletop is at all times well above the horizontal plane of the front tabletop. Both tabletops are normally locked in position, but the setting of each can be adjusted by depressing one of two pedals at the bottom of the base. The tabletops can be removed easily for cleaning and sterilization.

  • Patent number: 8662605
Abstract: A mobile technology cabinet includes a compartment having a work platform mounted for rotational motion between a substantially vertical storage position and a deployed position. A monitor support is operatively connected to the work platform such that movement of the work platform between the storage position and the deployed position causes the monitor support to rise from a storage position to a deployed position. The work platform may be rotated relative to the cabinet to simultaneously deploy the work surface and to raise the monitor. A base supports the cabinet for movement on wheels. A frame extends from the base and supports a cabinet such that the cabinet is movable between a raised position and a lowered position.

  • Patent number: 8132872
Abstract: A waste receptacle has an outer cabinet housing and a waste or trash bag support frame that can be moved from a position where it is at least partially within the cabinet, to a position where the support frame is extended sufficiently so it can be rotated about an upright axis to provide access to a bag held on the support frame. The support frame has an open ring on which a waste bag can be placed. The ring is spaced upwardly from the bottom of the bag support frame so that when the waste bag is full, it can be detached from the ring and dropped down for removal, rather than being lifted up through a container opening or support. The waste receptacle can have a cover that can be actuated to move from a closed position overlying the bag support frame to an open position.

  • Patent number: 7766435
Abstract: A tool box includes a body with drawers and the body is rotatably connected to a base. A brake unit is received in the base and includes a first board fixed to the base and a second board movably located on the first board by connection plates pivotably connected between the first and second boards. A brake disk is rotatably located on the first board and the shaft is securely connected to the brake disk so that the brake disk is co-rotated with the body. The second board is controlled to move and contact the brake disk on the first board by a clutch pedal. When the second board contacts the brake disk, the body together with the base is moved as one piece, and when the second board is disengaged from the brake disk, the body can be rotated independently relative to the base.

  • Patent number: 7318632
Abstract: A storage cabinet having a latching mechanism that can be unlatched by the use of either an upper actuator or a lower actuator is provided. The upper actuator may comprise a hand knob while the lower actuator may comprise a foot pedal. Thus, if an operator has his arms full and wants to open the doors of the cabinet, he can simply do so by actuating the foot pedal. Alternately, the doors of the cabinet may be opened by actuating the hand knob. This design affords the operator much flexibility in accessing the storage cabinet. A storage cabinet with a latching mechanism that is protected from damage under abusive conditions is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20040201338
Abstract: A waste bin manager for housing at least one waste bin in a cabinet having a door includes a first elongated slide, which is adapted to be mounted within the cabinet, and a second elongated slide adapted to be mounted within the cabinet. The second elongated slide is spaced apart from and oriented generally parallel to the first elongated slide with a wire harness positioned between, and attached to, the first and second elongated slides, with the wire harness adapted to hold a waste bin. A clip is attached to the wire harness with a spring having a first end attached to the clip and a second end attached to the cabinet. The spring is adapted to pull against the wire harness such that the first and second elongated slides, as well as the wire harness and door, are pulled at least partially out of the cabinet when the cabinet is opened.

  • Publication number: 20030090184
Abstract: A system and method of opening a storage unit includes a foot pedal, lever arm, linkage arm, spring, and latching rod. The lever arm is coupled to the foot pedal. The linkage arm is coupled to the lever arm. The spring is coupled to the linkage arm. The latching rod is coupled to the spring and is in a latched position. Downward movement of the foot pedal causes movement of the lever arm and the movement of the lever arm causes movement of the linkage arm. The movement of the linkage arm causes stretching of the spring and the latching rod remains stationary.

  • Patent number: 6382750
Abstract: A cabinet hardware configured for attachment to the lower end of a cabinet door, including conventional sliding and hinged doors. The hardware projects from the edge of the door to be readily accessible with the foot of a person wishing to open the door, and therefore enables the door to be opened without the use of hands. Accordingly, the hardware enables a user to open the door while his or her hands are occupied, such as when holding trash or recyclable items that are intended to be placed in a bin within the cabinet, or when the user's hands are wet or soiled with foodstuffs while trying to get a towel or additional cooking utensils or equipment.

  • Patent number: 6328392
Abstract: A foot pedal door opener device for use with a reach-in commercial cabinet, having a mounting bracket and retaining clip that allow the foot pedal to be mounted in a desired position for a left or right side opening door. The mounting bracket has at least two holes in a top portion of the bracket body to retrofit or mount the bracket to an outer surface of the cabinet. The retaining clip is configured to be aligned with either one of the holes of the bracket body. A connector passes through the retaining clip and corresponding hole of the bracket and penetrates the outer surface of the cabinet to secure the retaining clip to the bracket body and the mounting bracket to the cabinet. The pedal engages a rotating member that connects the pedal to the mounting bracket such that when a user depresses the pedal, the pedal rotates toward the user around the rotating member, whereby an engaging head of the pedal pushes the cabinet door open.
