Abstract: A system and method for dispensing sporting equipment sticks is provided. Embodiments have a controller generating a release signal in response to completing a purchase of a selected sporting equipment stick that is secured within the sporting equipment stick vending machine; a plurality of securing latches each defining a lockable compartment that receives a portion of a shaft of a sporting equipment stick, and wherein each one of the plurality of securing latches open to release its respective sporting equipment stick in response to the release signal received from the controller; and a stick guide system with a plurality of restraining apertures that are configured to receive a portion of a handle of the sporting equipment stick, wherein a size of reach restraining aperture is sized to receive a proximal end of the sporting equipment stick. The securing latch and corresponding restraining aperture cooperatively secure the sporting equipment stick.

The grow module is selectively rotated to index the plurality of grow chambers between a sealed position between the grow module and the enclosed back portion of the liner and a display position aligned with the front display opening.

A closure is provided to cover at least one of the openings, wherein a locking mechanism is provided to lock the closure of the associated openings and wherein the locking mechanism can be controlled to lock the closure in a closed position or an open position such that the compartment becomes accessible.

Abstract: A cantilever carousel system for efficiently storing multiple print cylinders while providing a common access point for loading and unloading the print cylinders. The cantilever carousel system generally includes an external frame structure defining an internal cavity and a shell connected to the external frame structure to surround the cavity, wherein the shell includes at least one access opening extending therethrough. An internal frame structure is positioned within the cavity and a vertically oriented carousel is supported by the internal frame structure. A drive assembly is mechanically connected to the carousel, wherein the drive assembly circulates the carousel and a plurality of cantilever mandrels are supported by the carousel and circulate with the carousel. A plurality of print cylinders are removably received by the plurality of cantilever mandrels through the access opening.

Abstract: A customizable container is used with a method of filling, storing, and dispensing medication. The method employs a medication database and analyzes medication storage requirements to determine a customized container size and configuration for an individual pill-user. Container preparation instructions are generated to computer-tailor the customized container based upon the determined needs of the individual pill-user. A pharmacist uses the container preparation instructions to organize medications in the proper dosage administration sequence in separate reconfigurable compartments of the pill pack container. The pill pack container is individually customized for each individual pill taker to organize, store, and dispense correctly a supply of pills of multiple types, sizes, and shapes for a predetermined time period.

Abstract: A dispenser that includes one or more sliding user doors for selectively restricting access to items disposed within the dispenser. In one embodiment, the dispenser includes a unique locking and drive mechanism that allows a single actuator to both: (1) lock and unlock a sliding user door; and (2) move the user door into and out of driving engagement with a drive mechanism that may be used to open and close the user door. In a particular embodiment, the dispenser further includes a door support that supports the weight of a downward-opening sliding user door when the downward-opening user door is in a closed position, but that may be selectively repositioned to facilitate the movement of the user door from a closed to an open position.

Abstract: A storage and conveyor system is provided that can store tools, parts and other miscellaneous items of interest. The storage system includes a carousel that is mounted to a base so as to have at least one degree of freedom with respect to the base. The carousel further includes a plurality of carriers for holding the items of interest and is arranged to selectively and recirculatively rotate the carriers about a closed loop track system such that the carriers may be selectively transitioned to advance a select one of the carriers to a desired location. Rotation of the carriers may occur independently of the movement of the carousel relative to the base.

Abstract: A multiple product merchandising machine of the rotating drum type which is capable of vending large size bottles. It includes a cylindrical merchandise carrying drum mounted within the cabinet for rotation about its central longitudinal axis disposed vertically within the cabinet and having a plurality of annular product supporting shelves at spaced intervals along the drum, concentric with the axis of the drum, a plurality vertical walls extending between adjacent shelves and together with the shelves defining a plurality of individual product compartments, a central column extending the height of the drum and having wall portions adjacent each product compartment with at least one hole defined in at least some of the wall portions, the holes so positioned and arranged that a necked-down portion of a bottle supporting a cap can be inserted into each hole with the remainder of the bottle being disposed within the confines of an associated product compartment.
