  • Patent number: 11340809
Abstract: Path components associated with I/O paths between another network component and a target system may be determined, and the health of target ports on such I/O paths may be determined. Failed I/O communications may be redirected based on the determined path components and the determined health of target ports. In response to a failed I/O communication, it may be determined which of the remaining I/O paths between the host system and the storage system has the least amount of associated path components in common with the failed I/O path, and the I/O communication may be redirected on such I/O path. The redirect I/O path also may be selected based on the health ranking of target ports of the I/O paths.

Abstract: A side looking occupancy sensor is incorporated in a conventional wall switch mounted into a switch box adjacent to a door. The side-looking proximity sensor preferably is mountable to either side of the doorjamb to make the side-looking proximity sensor face the door opening. During operation, the side-looking sensor monitors the door movement or senses the passage of a person for indication that a person is entering or leaving the space. Entry and exit determination is made based on activation of the side-looking sensor.

  • Patent number: 8832314
Abstract: An information synchronization method includes acquiring declaration information of a first local area network device that is in a first local area network. The declaration information includes a private address of the first local area network device in the first local area network. The private address of the first local area network device is mapped into a corresponding external address according to a preset mapping relation between private addresses and external addresses. A notification message carrying the external address of the first local area network device is sent to a second local area network, so as to enable the second local area network to store the external address of the first local area network device and notify a state of the first local area network device to a second local area network device in the second local area network.

  • Patent number: 8793304
Abstract: In some embodiments, a wireless management service provides the capability to manage connectivity between a device and one or more wireless networks on a differentiated basis. For example, network profiles may be managed in a way that is influenced by the identity of the user, such that profiles which are customized for a specific user may be established. Connectivity may also be managed in a way that is influenced by a session type ongoing on a device, such that when certain events occur (e.g., a request by one user to connect to or disconnect from a wireless network is processed), wireless connectivity employed by other users sharing the device is appropriately managed.

  • Patent number: 8676930
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for enhancing the throughput of signals from a security system receiver to an associated automation server. Multiple parallel Ethernet connections or ports are provided between the receiver and server to enable multiple signals to be transmitted between the two when such signals are received from a client's security system panel. The system and method may access the ports in a variety of orders to provide efficient transmittal of signals from the receiver to the server. In one embodiment, received event signals may be routed though the ports in numeric sequence, forward or reverse. In another embodiment, received event signals may be routed preferentially to the first port, if it is not busy. If the first port is busy then the signal may be routed to the second port, and so on. In a further embodiment, received event signals from specific client panels may be directed through predetermined ports, and a predetermined automation server at the central monitoring facility.
