  • Patent number: 11804141
Abstract: Aerial vehicles are assigned to routes within a transportation network based on a state of charge, state of power, and/or state of health for the aerial vehicle. Such aspects can be modeled based on one or more statistical models and/or machine-learned models, among other examples. As another example, an energy budget is used to ensure that the state of charge, state of power, and/or state of health of the aerial vehicle during and/or after traveling the route remains within the energy budget. A payload is assigned to a route and an associated aerial vehicle, thereby generating an itinerary. In examples, the itinerary is validated by the aerial vehicle to ensure that the aerial vehicle is capable of traveling the route with the payload. In examples where the aerial vehicle rejects the itinerary, the itinerary is assigned to another aerial vehicle and a new itinerary is identified for the aerial vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11428822
Abstract: Methods and systems for location determination are described herein. An example implementation may involve receiving signals from a set of satellites to determine a general location of a receiver. After receiving a signal from a satellite, the receiver may-determine an angle of reception that indicates an orientation of the satellite relative to the receiver. The receiver may further obtain topography information for the general location that indicates the positions and elevations of features (e.g., buildings) at the general location. For instance, the receiver may use elevation maps or sensors to determine the topography information. Using the topography information and determined angles of receptions, the receiver may identify any signals that reflected off a feature prior to reaching the receiver. As a result, the receiver may determine and use the reflected path traveled by a reflected signal to refine the general location of the receiver.

Abstract: Various embodiments are described herein for systems and methods for allowing user at a client terminal to interacts with a graphical user interface having a DGGS globe to perform spatial analysis on DGGS spatial data based on a spatial query on unified spatial data that may be obtained from distributed geospatial data sources having different data formats. The spatial analysis results can include a resulting collection of cells that can be displayed on the DGGS globe and/or aggregated spatial statistics that can be displayed in a DGGS legend at the graphical user interface. In one aspect, the spatial analysis can be iteratively performed to obtain a refined resulting collection of cells and aggregated spatial statistics. In another aspect, the resulting cells and/or aggregated spatial statistics can be added to a geospatial data source that can be accessed by another client terminal that is performing other geospatial analysis.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes: a display unit displaying a generation screen of a UI; a storage unit storing object images serving as candidates for configuring the UI; an operation receiving unit receiving a selection of arbitrary object images among the object images and receiving an operation for arranging the selected object images at arbitrary positions on the generation screen; and a build unit outputting an execution file configuring a UI including the object images arranged on the generation screen based on reception of a build instruction for the UI. When the build instruction is received in a state in which two or more object images are arranged on the generation screen the build unit generates a composite image including the two or more object images and further outputs coordinate information of each of the object images serving as composition sources inside the composite image and the composite image.

Abstract: A request for geographic content is received from a client device. The request includes (i) an indication that a user invoked the digital mapping service in a vehicle and (ii) an identifier of the user. In response to the request, profile data for the user including indications of previous interactions of the user with a digital mapping service is automatically retrieved. Geographic content is generated based on the indications of previous interactions in view of relevance of the previous interactions to an automotive context. The geographic content is provided to the client device for presentation in the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10740613
Abstract: A camera captures video imagery depicting a digitally-watermarked object. A reference signal in the watermark is used to discern the pose of the object relative to the camera, and this pose is used in affine-transforming and positioning a graphic on the imagery as an augmented reality overlay. Feature points are also discerned from the captured imagery, or recalled from a database indexed by the watermark. As the camera moves relative to the object, the augmented reality overlay tracks the changing object depiction, using these feature points. When feature point-based tracking fails, the watermark is again processed to determine pose, and the overlay presentation is updated accordingly. In another arrangement, feature points are extracted from images of supermarket objects captured by multiple users, and are compiled in a database in association with watermark data identifying the objects—serving as a crowd-sourced repository of feature point data.

Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing sensor data to determine an inferred emotional state of a vehicle operator and generate a recommendation based on the inferred emotional state are disclosed. According to embodiments, an electronic device may analyze image data depicting a vehicle operator to identify a behavior. The electronic device may also compare vehicle dynamics data to baseline vehicle dynamics data to determine if the vehicle dynamics data differs from the baseline vehicle dynamics data by a threshold amount. Based on the identified behavior and the vehicle dynamics data, the electronic device may determine an inferred emotional state of the vehicle operator. The electronic device may generate a recommendation for the vehicle operator based on the inferred emotional state.

  • Patent number: 10656282
Abstract: A method of determining location of a user device includes receiving global navigation satellite system (GNSS) fix data that represents GNSS calculated position of the user device. The method further includes receiving signal strength data associated with each satellite communicating with the user device, and receiving map information regarding environment surrounding the user device. The received GNSS fix data and signal strength data is provided to a non-linear filter, wherein the non-linear filter fuses the GNSS fix data and signal strength data to generate an updated position estimate of the user device. In addition, the non-linear filter utilizes probabilistic shadow matching estimates that represent a likelihood of received signal strength data as a function of hypothesized user device locations within the environment described by the received map information.
