The connection interface conversion chip includes a USB interface circuit, a DP interface circuit, a USB core circuit and a switching circuit. The USB interface circuit is suitable for coupling to a USB connector. The DP interface circuit is coupled to a DP sink device through a DP connector. The USB core circuit is coupled to both the USB interface circuit and the DP interface circuit. The switching circuit is coupled to both the USB interface circuit and the DP interface circuit. The switching circuit supports only one specific conduction mode that only allows transmitting DP signals between the USB interface circuit and the DP interface circuit.

Abstract: Techniques for user state for user image in media content are described and are implementable to enable a user state of a user to be determined and to control whether a user image is included in media content based on the user state. Generally, the described implementations enable different user states to be defined and utilized to control inclusion of user images with media content.

Abstract: Media items captured by a media capture device may include and/or be associated with values of a clock-change identifier. The values of the clock-change identifier may be set based on when and how many times the time of the media capture device was changed. Based on a capture-time of a media item being incorrect, other media items with the same value of the clock-change identifier may be determined to be incorrect. Capture-times of the other media items may be corrected based on capture-time correction of the media item.

Abstract: Techniques to transmit encoded data along a physical medium, e.g. tape, and decode the transmitted data along the physical medium are provided. Some techniques include logic to encode data transmitted along a physical medium, such as a tape suitable for any purpose including the encoding of multimedia data, where the encoding is pursuant to a conversion between a first and second colorspace. The logic may further be configured to decode the data once it is received at a node along the tape, where the colorspace conversion provides the basis, key, or cipher for preforming the decoding operation. The logic may be further configured to alter the encryption and decryption basis, key, or cypher by altering the colorspace scheme defining the encoding (and by extension the decoding) during transmission, including a transmission that takes place after a previous transmission governed by the previously defined (and subsequently altered) colorspace conversion scheme. Abstract: A pre-key is combined with non-pre key data to render a content key useful for decrypting content, such as audio-video content. This other, non-pre key data may be anything that, for example, an ATSC 3.0 source such as a Broadcaster would like to authenticate into the content. For example, the data that is XOR'd with pre-key information may include various fields such as the Broadcaster designated market area (DMA), a copyright notice, the identification of the content to be decrypted, the user's group ID (subscriber group), etc.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media may be operable to facilitate the dynamic selection of a storage device for storing media. When a recording request is received, storage information associated with resources of one or more networks and one or more storage devices may be retrieved, and a network may be selected for recording and storing the requested media based upon an algorithm that considers the retrieved information. One or more specific storage devices located on the selected network may be selected for recording and storing the requested media. The selection of the one or more specific storage devices may be made based upon an algorithm that considers the available resources and capabilities of available storage devices.

Abstract: A content stream comprising video and synchronized illumination data is based on a reference lighting setup from, for example, the site of the content creation. The content stream is received at a user location where the illumination data controls user lighting that is synchronized with the video data, so that when the video data is displayed the user's lighting is in synchronization with the video. In one embodiment, the illumination data is also synchronized with events of a game, so that a user playing games in a gaming environment will have his lighting synchronized with video and events of the game. In another embodiment, the content stream is embedded on a disk.

The logic further includes calculation of a score associated with the digital user ranking over a period of time based on an activity tracking parameter of the first digital content items and the second digital content items on the digital user ranking within a predefined association of the user. In one aspect, publishing comprises directly emailing the media presentation to one or more other users via the network. In another aspect, publishing comprises providing a link to one or more other users via the network for direct access to the media presentation. In still another aspect, publishing comprises obtaining and embedding source code for the media presentation in a web page associated with one or more of the distribution channels via the network.

The method includes analyzing, by a hardware processor, one or more images to determine cognitive characteristics related to the one or more images and to a user. The method further includes forming, by the hardware processor, a composable template relating to the cognitive characteristics. The method also includes performing, by the hardware processor or another hardware processor, an amelioration action with respect to a displaying on a display device of at least one image from the one or more images, based on the composable template. Abstract: A method that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving a product placement event that is triggered by a placement stamp in a media program. The placement stamp may identify an occurrence of a product in the media program, where the occurrence is not an explicit advertisement. The method further may include searching a product description database according to a product identifier of the product placement event and receiving product advertising information matching the product identifier in an entry of the product description database. The product description database may have been updated, and the product advertising information may differ from what the product advertising information would have been if the product description database had not been updated. Abstract: A media client ascertains a plurality of matching points between (i) query fingerprints representing a media stream being received by the client and (ii) reference fingerprints, each identified matching point defining a respective match between a query fingerprint that is timestamped with client time defined according to a clock of the client and a reference fingerprint that is timestamped with true time defined according to a timeline within a known media stream. Further, the client performs linear regression based on the timestamps of the ascertained plurality of matching points, to establish a mapping between true time and client time. The client then uses the established mapping as a basis to determine a client-time point at which the client should perform an action with respect to media stream being received by the client. And the client performs the action at the determined client-time point.

Abstract: A system and method for replacing undesirable content in a media stream provides viewers with a highly individualized video viewing experience. A monitoring station detects undesirable content and selects substitute content based upon user preferences stored in a system database. The substitute content may have attributes related to both the primary content being viewed and the user preferences. A first trigger signal is transmitted to an output device which transmits media to the user's display. In response to the first trigger signal, the output device switches from the first media stream to a second media stream containing the substitute content. In embodiments, undesirable content is detected and substituted for in real-time.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide an entry presence detection mechanism for audio-video devices. According to aspects, devices are activated based on detecting presence of a subject in the vicinity of a device. Further, subject-specific content is output based on preconfigured preferences and/or historical usage. As described herein, the device is activated and subject-specific content or prompts are displayed without use of a remote control. This reduces the wait time to activate a device and connected devices. When a subject is determined to have left the vicinity for a configurable amount of time, the devices enter a low-power state. In aspects, the devices enter a low-power state in response to determining that no subjects remain in the vicinity of the device for a configurable amount of time.

Abstract: A media recording system may be provided. The recording system may include features for reducing recording cut-off of a particular media event due to changes in the start time and end time of what is scheduled to be recorded. The recording system may provide a user with an opportunity to select a program by for example, selecting a listing, to have that program automatically recorded at a scheduled time for presentation to viewers. Changes in the schedule of programs may be compensated manually or automatically when the recording system receives information about actual or predicted time changes. In a manual mode, a user may adjust start or end times based on time change information that is displayed. For an automatic mode, the recording system may automatically compensate for predicted or actual time changes that are known by automatically adjusting the start and end times of recording.

A system can include a module to receive proper performance values of a circuit, a module to receive improper performance values of the circuit, a module to compare actual circuit input characteristics (Xa) and actual circuit output characteristics (Ya) to X, Y, D, and Z to determine if the circuit is more likely operating properly or more likely operating improperly, and an alert module to, in response to determining the circuit is operating improperly, provide an alert to personnel indicating that the circuit is operating improperly or providing one or more signals to the circuit that cause the circuit to alter its current operation.

For example, video segments displayed on a screen of a television system can be identified, and contextually-targeted content or contextually-related alternative content can be provided to a television system based on the identification of a video segment. The alternative or related version of the video program can include the currently displayed program in an on-demand format that can be viewed off-line and can be started over from a beginning portion of the program.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide various techniques for dynamically calibrating digital video recordings of television broadcasts based on analyzes of changes to time data and channel data associated with live television broadcasts. In various embodiments, television receivers may transmit sets of recording schedule data to television broadcast monitor devices, which may receive time data corresponding to live broadcast television programs from various data sources, such as satellite or cable television service providers, social media servers, user devices, and other data sources. Television broadcast monitor devices and/or television receivers may receive and analyze the live television broadcast time data and channel data, and may determine updated recording schedule data which may be used to dynamically reprogram the digital video recorders associated with one or more television receivers.

In response to receiving the selection of the control element, different versions of the audio component that are included in different video content items may be identified and the second area of the GUI may be modified to prioritize a presentation of at least one of the different video content items that includes a respective different version of the audio component over a presentation of the related video content items in the second area of the GUI.

The display monitor selects the display of content to the users, in part, by reviewing a marker which defines the last time that content was displayed to the user and the type of content displayed. The content delivery system transmits a content window to a user computer via the controller.

The user may switch to another copy of the recorded program if the original copy lacks desirable recording attributes, or the interactive television application may automatically switch to another copy of the program.

Abstract: Video content is received and processed to produce the plurality of video frames for displaying the video content on a video rendering device. A video image is embedding into one of a plurality of video frames. Each of the plurality of video frames are analyzed to detect the embedded video image. Upon detecting the embedding video image, an action associated with the embedded video image is triggered. A viewer indication of interest is received in response to the triggering the action associated with the embedded video image. Abstract: Disclosed are a method for querying information of a TV program broadcasted currently and a smart TV, to solve the problem that the descriptive information of a TV program broadcasted currently displayed by the smart TV doesn't match the actual video image broadcasted. The method comprises: obtaining a program information list corresponding to a channel identification from an EPG server according to the channel identification of a channel broadcasted currently, where the program information list includes correspondence between program identifications and program descriptive information; after obtaining a real time video stream from a program source server corresponding to the channel identification, parsing and obtaining a program identification in the real-time video stream; and obtaining program descriptive information corresponding to the program identification from the correspondence.
