Abstract: Systems and methods are described to enable synchronized encoding of streaming audio or video content between multiple encoders, in a manner that provides for seamlessly interchangeable encodings. Within a pool of encoders, each encoder can periodically generate state information regarding its state of encoding, and share that state information with other encoders. The other encoders can compare the state information to their current state, to determine whether a desynchronization has occurred. When a desynchronization does occur, such as due to intermittent network packet loss, the encoders within the pool can evaluate the shared state information to determine an authoritative state, and then resynchronize to the authoritative state, resulting in identical or interchangeable encoded content being output from each encoder of the pool.

A hook section hooks the fact that an information communication function has communicated textual information. When the hook section hooks communication of textual information, a keyword extraction section reads the textual information that has been communicated, and extracts a keyword or keywords stored in a keyword storage section from the textual information that has been read. From the keyword or keywords extracted by the keyword extraction section, a commitment creation section creates new commitment information representing a commitment that is newly registered by a commitment management function, or revised commitment information representing revision of a commitment that has already been registered.

Abstract: A method acquires program guide information in an image signal receiver, and program guide method and apparatus using the same. In the program guide apparatus, information immediately required by a user is obtained first, and information of less preferential channels is obtained next, thus presenting a smooth interface to the user. The method of acquiring program guide information for channels includes acquiring the program guide information for each channel by scanning accessible channels while a received program is not displayed. The program guide apparatus includes a tuner tuning a channel, a program guide information detector, a memory, a key input, a microprocessor, and a character signal generator.

  • Patent number: 9467678
Abstract: Disclosure is an image synchronization method and system thereof being applied to a first image detection unit and a second image detection unit. The system comprises a monitoring unit, an extension interval generation unit and a control unit. The monitoring unit monitors the first image detection unit and the second image detection unit. When a time difference between output time of second image data and output time of first image data is larger than or equal to a postponed time threshold, a synchronization signal is transmitted by the monitoring unit. The extension interval generation unit bases the time difference and the rate of outputting the first image to generate an extension interval. When receiving the synchronization signal, the control unit adjusts the rate of outputting the first image by controlling the first image detection unit. Therefore, the first image data and the second image data could be synchronized.
