  • Patent number: 11924548
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a sensor capable of generating a signal pair used in focus detection. The apparatus obtains, based on a defocus amount obtained using the signal pair, a focus distance of a lens unit that is mounted to the apparatus and adjusts a focus distance of the lens unit based on the obtained focus distance. When the lens unit is a multi-scopic lens unit having a plurality of optical systems having different axes, the apparatus obtains the focus distance using an adjustment value obtained based on an axis position that is a position on the sensor through which an axis of the multi-scopic lens unit passes.

  • Patent number: 11792524
Abstract: A method for decoding a 360-degree image includes: receiving a bitstream obtained by encoding a 360-degree image; generating a prediction image by making reference to syntax information obtained from the received bitstream; combining the generated prediction image with a residual image obtained by dequantizing and inverse-transforming the bitstream, so as to obtain a decoded image; and reconstructing the decoded image into a 360-degree image according to a projection format. Here, generating the prediction image includes: checking, from the syntax information, prediction mode accuracy for a current block to be decoded; determining whether the checked prediction mode accuracy corresponds to most probable mode (MPM) information obtained from the syntax information; and when the checked prediction mode accuracy does not correspond to the MPM information, reconfiguring the MPM information according to the prediction mode accuracy for the current block.

  • Patent number: 11651547
Abstract: Robust temporal gradients, representing differences in shading results, can be computed between current and previous frames in a temporal denoiser for ray-traced renderers. Backward projection can be used to locate matching surfaces, with the relevant parameters of those surfaces being carried forward and used for patching. Backward projection can be performed for each stratum in a current frame, a stratum representing a set of adjacent pixels. A pixel from each stratum is selected that has a matching surface in the previous frame, using motion vectors generated during the rendering process. A comparison of the depth of the normals, or the visibility buffer data, can be used to determine whether a given surface is the same in the current frame and the previous frame, and if so then parameters of the surface from the previous frame G-buffer is used to patch the G-buffer for the current frame.

  • Patent number: 11627290
Abstract: Systems and methods for signal communication over an optical link are described. One aspect includes receiving a source CONFIG1 signal from a DP master device and a sink CONFIG1 signal from a sink terminal. The source and sink CONFIG1 signals are analyzed. It is determined whether a signal transmission mode is a DP protocol. For a DP protocol, a pair of source AUX signals is received from the DP master device. A pair of sink AUX signals is received from the sink terminal. Communication resource contention between the source and sink AUX signals is identified. A communication direction of the communication resources is transitioned to give the source AUX signals precedence over the sink AUX signals. The source AUX signals are transferred to the sink terminal via the communication resources. The direction of the communication resources is again transitioned. The sink AUX signals are transferred to the DP master device.
