Phonograph Patents (Class 353/16)
  • Patent number: 7475932
Abstract: A glazing element (12) for an opening defined by opaque boundaries (13) has an edge region (E) shaped to divert light passing through it in a sense such as to enlarge the field of view through the opening. For this purpose the bounding surfaces (33, 34) of the element (12) diverge towards the edge thereof in the edge region (E). The same effect can be achieved by an element (25) adhered to or otherwise held in position to the surface of the element (12) in the edge region (E).

  • Patent number: 4171882
Abstract: A light reflective projection system is disclosed. The system includes a combination of a light source, at least one reflective or transparent disc having means for rotation thereof and a lens. In one embodiment, disc rotation is provided by the rotatable turntable of a record player. In this embodiment, the reflective or transparent discs may be carried by a record mounted on the record player, by a pedestal member mounted over the spindle of the record player, or by a differential speed ring having drive wheels which bear upon and are rotated by the label portion of the rotating record. A stationary support provides a location for an additional disc. The light source and lens are so mounted that light rays from the light source are projected downwardly through or onto one or more of the transparent or reflective rotating discs, then upwardly through the lens for projection upon the viewing surface.

  • Patent number: 3942884
Abstract: A device for the viewing of photo-images and the presentation of sound recordings corresponding to such photo-images, which device may be controlled by the user to provide substantially random access to any photo-image and the sound recording corresponding thereto, is disclosed. A modular construction of such device and its adaptability to either hand-held or projection embodiments is described. A novel tone arm system as well as a novel turntable driving mechanism, a novel disc type record unit and a novel record changing mechanism is disclosed. In addition, a novel stereoscopic system based on the use of two identical views of the field of vision is disclosed and a specific optical system is described. Finally, a method of and means for coordinating a group of photo-images and a group of sound recordings so that selection of a particular photo-image automatically selects the corresponding sound recording is disclosed.
