  • Patent number: 11819808
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus and a method for producing a play compound and the play compound itself which, in one embodiment is a compound which sufficiently fluid to be pliable and is typically cold and slimy to the touch. The apparatus and a method provide a powder and liquid to a user, which can be a non-skilled person and thereby allow the mixing of the powder and liquid together by that person to form the play compound outside of a factory environment whilst ensuring that the play compound which is formed has the desired characteristics. Most typically the user which performs the mixing can be the end user, such as a child, who will play with the compound and so the formation of the play compound forms a new part of the play experience.

  • Patent number: 9366617
Abstract: A low cost, self-stirring container is disclosed. In embodiments of this disclosure, the container has one or more protuberances extending from a bottom, a top, a sidewall, and/or an end cap of the container. In use, the one or more protuberances cause a liquid or mixture of liquids within the container to be stirred when the container is rotated about a longitudinal axis (e.g., central axis) of the container. In some embodiments, a rotary actuator (e.g., motor or servo) is coupled with the container or coupled to a holder securing the container. The rotary actuator repeatedly rotates the container N degrees in a first direction and M degrees in a second (e.g., opposite) direction, thereby imparting an oscillatory motion that causes the liquid or liquids within the container (and any particles contained therein) to be continually disrupted and mixed or stirred within the container.

Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to a multi-chamber container and related methods for storing and mixing liquids and associated methods of use. The multi-chamber container includes a first chamber configured to contain a first liquid composition. The multi-chamber container also includes a second chamber configured to contain a second liquid composition. The multi-chamber container further includes a barrier operable to separate the first chamber and the second chamber. Additionally, the multi-chamber container includes a compliant mechanism movable between a first position and a second position and a plunger movable with the compliant mechanism to alter or remove the barrier. In the first position, the barrier is operable to maintain the first liquid composition and the second liquid composition separate from one another. In the second position, the plunger is operable to alter or remove the barrier to facilitate contact of the first liquid composition and the second liquid composition.

  • Patent number: 8851739
Abstract: A portable baby bottle blender includes a baby bottle having a top collar with external threads and a bottom collar with external threads. A top cap has a central aperture. The top cap is internally threaded to be removable threaded onto the top collar of the baby bottle and holds a feeding nipple extending through the central aperture of the top cap onto the top collar. A sealing O-ring fits onto the bottom collar of the baby bottle. A bottom cap has a rim internally threaded. An agitating unit is centrally retained within the bottom cap. When the rim of the bottom cap is removably threaded onto the bottom collar of the baby bottle and against the sealing O-ring, the agitating unit extends into the bottom collar of the baby bottle. A base member has a top recess to receive the bottom cap on the baby bottle therein. A spur-crown gear coupling is for operating the agitating unit, so that the mixing blade assembly mixes formula within water placed through the top collar of the baby bottle.

  • Publication number: 20140233344
Abstract: A shaker including a vessel and an agitator. The vessel includes a container wall. A rounded bottom closes off the container wall, wherein a border of the bottom is formed radially towards a center axis of the vessel such that the bottom transitions from the container wall to be outwardly domed. An agitator is for use in combination with the vessel, the agitator further comprising a tetrahedral body having four planar faces, four vertices, and six edges, each edge traveling between each of the vertices. Each vertex is rounded off and configured to forcibly contact the container wall and an entirety of the bottom upon shaking the vessel. These rounded vertices create a propeller-like spinning and tumbling motion through the liquid-powder mixture when the vessel is vigorously shaken up and down, and scalloped edges of the agitator produce additional turbulence to efficiently blend a liquid/powder mixture.

  • Patent number: 8746958
Abstract: A beverage container for mixing a beverage is disclosed. The beverage container includes a cup having a stirring flap integral to an internal side wall of the cup. The stifling flap has a sine wave shape and comprises a top fin protruding near the top of the internal wall and a bottom fin protruding near the bottom of the internal wall of the cup. The top fin and the bottom fin are separated by a central portion. The cup is swirled in a circular motion by a person's hand to mix the liquid contained within. The central portion allows liquid to pass freely through the middle of the cup to gain momentum when the cup is swirled. The bottom fin has the shape of a lower case letter ‘h’, to allow solid material gathered in the bottom of the cup to pass underneath the bottom fin and mix with liquid.
