Lather Maker Patents (Class 366/604)
  • Patent number: 11801523
Abstract: A fluid dispensing gun for 1K-polyurethane foam includes a dispensing tube with a dosing nozzle at its outlet, a spring-loaded needle co-axially moveable in the dispensing tube for opening and closing the dosing nozzle, a trigger actuating the needle to open the nozzle and to dispense the fluid, a regulator regulating the degree of opening of the nozzle outlet and a coupler coupling a pressurized can to the gun. It also concerns a method for dispensing 1K-polyurethane foam. The fluid dispensing gun includes a delivery device delivering a curing fluid essentially parallel to the nozzle outlet that includes a curing fluid reservoir, a curing fluid outlet situated near the nozzle and a curing fluid line connecting the curing fluid reservoir and the curing fluid outlet, the trigger activating the delivery device. The curing fluid delivered in the same direction as the 1K-polyurethane foam and separately therefrom makes the foam cure more rapidly.

  • Patent number: 7281843
Abstract: A vertical agricultural mixer employs a pair of vertical mixing augers in combination with a pair of asymmetrical, half pyramid-shaped transfer protrusions adjacently disposed along each opposed sidewall between the augers in a mixing tub. The transfer protrusions are differently shaped with tips which are vertically spaced from each other along a vertical line on each sidewall. The transfer protrusions create a pressure gradient to allow material mixed in the tub to transfer to an adjacent mixing auger more efficiently so that mixing action is optimized and dead mixing spots are prevented.

  • Patent number: 6729753
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mixing device particularly adapted for mixing and delivering a mixture of food product containing large particulates from dehydrated material and a diluent. This device includes a mixing chamber including a propeller, at least one inlet for the dehydrated and diluent to enter the mixing chamber, and an outlet for the mixture to exit the mixing chamber. The propeller is arranged about a rotation axis to provide centrifugal forces upon rotating to create a pumping action in the mixing chamber. Also, the propeller describes a limit plane of rotation demarcating a centrifugal part and a suction part. The outlet has a cross section with an axial dimension of at least 12.5 mm and is positioned in the mixing chamber relative to the propeller so that at least 50% of the outlet surface area is located in the centrifugal part of the chamber.

  • Patent number: 5356565
Abstract: A foam generator is provided for in-line installation within a surface tubing network. The generator has a foaming chamber with a plurality of permeable screens positioned in series along a continuous flowpath through the foaming chamber. The screens are separated from one another by spacers that define the radial boundaries of the flowpath. According to one embodiment, the screens and spacers are mounted in a cartridge that fits into the foaming chamber to maintain proper screen alignment and facilitate removal of the screens from the chamber for maintenance. In an alternate embodiment, the screens and spacers are mounted directly in the chamber. In both embodiments, the screens are aligned orthogonal to the flowpath enabling the generator to produce a properly textured foam from shear-sensitive fluids with relatively little shear degradation.

  • Patent number: 4405491
Abstract: An apparatus for forming foam including a rotatable screw shaft having concave grooves or convex stripes extending spirally along its outer circumference and located in a cylinder closely spaced from one another for passing a treating solution containing a foaming agent, such as soap, together with pressurized air through the gap between the screw shaft and the cylinder. It is preferable to provide a plurality of square grooves along the inner circumference of the cylinder extending spirally or in the axial direction of the cylinder. Foam of the treating solution can be continuously produced in an effective manner, and the apparatus is particularly suitable for continuously applying a treating solution to a cloth.

  • Patent number: 4225531
Abstract: The invention is directed to improving the quality of fluidization of fluidized solids and comprises the addition of fluidization promoters in particle form that have a smaller density and particle size than the neat solids. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the catalyst is a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst and the fluidization promoter comprises carbon particles.

  • Patent number: 4199268
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved, novel method and time saving food processor and process, easily assembled and cleaned, and safely operably for whipping egg whites, or cream, and making butter, in seconds, in which two elements define two flat surfaces disposed and coacting at a right angle with respect to each other in a circular container. One of the flat surfaces is centrally rotated in a horizontal plane in the circular container to centrifugally direct and progressively drive a stream of liquid food products against the other flat surface in the presence of air, at a substantially high speed and with hard impact. The other flat surface continuously redirects the flow radially inwardly to recycle it with a continuous high frequency.

  • Patent number: 4185927
Abstract: In a mixing machine having a cylindrical mixing chamber in which a centrifuging agitator coaxially rotates on a horizontal axis, an inlet duct for dry mix material and liquid curves downwardly and towards one end wall of the chamber and an outlet duct for mixture curves downward and away from said end wall. Material to be mixed thus enters the chamber in substantially horizontal flow through an inlet port in said end wall, all portions of said port being spaced radially inwardly from the cylindrical chamber wall and below the level of the chamber axis. Mixture leaves the chamber in substantially horizontal flow through an outlet port wholly spaced below the inlet port and extending down to the level of the bottom of the chamber. Centrifuging action maintains a pressure difference between the ports that assures fast movement of materials through the mixing chamber to prevent plugging of the machine when mashed potato mix is used.
