Abstract: When download operations get started in unison in conformity to RSS metafile delivery time-and-date information, the traffic is temporarily concentrated to a server, resulting in the risk of a system failure or else. In addition, it is inevitable to periodically check whether an RSS file on Web server is updated or not; so, users must delete update-unnecessary RSS files from those objects to be monitored. In view of this, the periodical update check timing of download control information is dispersed, thereby scattering download requests to the server. The download control information is provided with the information indicating whether such download control information is put under update management and/or expire time-and-date information in case the update management is to be done, whereby an information processing apparatus performs, based on the information, erase processing of the download control information when the download processing is completed.

  • Patent number: 11429481
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a hardware based scrubbing scheme where correction logic is integrated with memory elements such that scrubbing is performed by hardware. The correction logic reads the data words stored in the memory element during idle cycles. If a correctable error is detected, the correction logic can then use a subsequent idle cycle to perform a write to correct the error (i.e., replace the corrupted data stored in the memory element with corrected data). By using built-in or integrated correction logic, the embodiments herein do not add extra work for the processor, or can work with applications that do not include a processor. Further, because the correction logic scrubs the memory during idle cycles, correcting bit errors does not have a negative impact on the performance of the memory element. Memory scrubbing can delay the degradation of data error, extending the integrity of the data in the memory.

  • Patent number: 9136927
Abstract: All data symbols used in data transmission of a modulated signal are precoded by hopping between precoding matrices so that the precoding matrix used to precode each data symbol and the precoding matrices used to precode data symbols that are adjacent to the data symbol in the frequency domain and the time domain all differ. A modulated signal with such data symbols arranged therein is transmitted.

  • Patent number: 9076493
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a video processing method, including: parsing, by a buffer server, a video file, and creating a video index file, where the index file includes a position of a key frame in the video file; receiving information about a target position of video dragging and sent by a client; determining a key frame closest to the target position according to the index file and the target position; and sending video file data that begins with a position of the closest key frame to the client so that the client starts playing from the target position. Correspondingly, the embodiments of the present invention further provide a buffer server, which solves the problem that a video without a file header and a video dragged beyond a storage range of a server cannot be played after being dragged, and improves user experience.

  • Patent number: 9070414
Abstract: The present invention relates to a playback apparatus, a playback method, a program, a recording medium, and a data structure that enable interactive operations when playing back AV content. A controller 34 obtains an order list of audio stream numbers in advance. In response to an instruction to switch audio by a user, the controller obtains the audio stream number subsequent to the audio stream number which is being played back. It is then checked whether a stream that is found to be playable by the playback apparatus is included in a main clip or a sub clip, and the main clip referred to by the Main Path is read together with the clip in which the corresponding audio stream is multiplexed. Then, the audio stream file of the corresponding clip and the file to be played back included in the main clip are selected by the switches 57 through 59, and 77. The selected files are combined by a video data processor 96 and an audio data processor 97, and the combined data is output.

  • Patent number: 9060171
Abstract: An image processing system is adapted to compress a captured image having a plurality of regions of interest (ROIs). The image compression device includes an image dividing unit, a resolution distribution unit and an encoder. The image dividing unit divides the captured image into a number of blocks according to a predetermined size. The resolution distribution unit distributes a display resolution to each ROI of the captured image according to predetermined display information which includes a position and a resolution level of each ROI. The resolution distribution unit further obtains the blocks covered by each ROI according to the position of each ROI. The encoder separately encodes each block in the captured image according to the resolution level of each block using predetermined rules to obtain compression strings of each block, and generates compression image based on the compression strings and the predetermined display information.
