Abstract: Light emitting semiconductor device(s) of the present invention is/are provided with three LED elements by way of lead frame(s) on substrate(s) Reflector(s)—having parabolically curved surface(s) at inner wall(s) thereof is/are installed at periphery or peripheries of these LED elements. Radiative angle(s) of light radiating from such reflector(s) is/are controlled by alteration of height(s) of reflector(s). Such height(s) may be lowered to increase radiative angle(s) ? of light therefrom so as to establish broader irradiative locus or loci and/or such height(s) may be raised to decrease radiative angle(s) ? of light radiating therefrom so as to establish narrower irradiative locus or loci.

  • Patent number: 6892029
Abstract: A strobe apparatus includes a xenon tube, which is a discharge tube, having a discharge light emitting portion and a light emitting portion terminal. Light is emitted from the xenon tube and is reflected in a predetermined direction by a reflection umbrella. A transparent electrode is coated on the external surface of the xenon tube from the discharge light emitting portion to the terminal. When trigger voltage is applied to the xenon tube through the transparent electrode, strobe light is emitted by the discharge light emitting portion. By using the strobe apparatus, the orientation characteristic of the discharge tube can be improved without uneven light distribution and a shortage of a light amount.

  • Patent number: 6741014
Abstract: There is provided a light emitting device that is capable of changing the illumination angle in the transverse and vertical directions. An emission unit includes at least an arc tube being elongated in a longitudinal direction thereof, and a reflection umbrella. A light-permeable optical unit is arranged in front of the emission unit at a side thereof closer to a subject in such a manner that a relative distance between the optical unit and the emission unit is variable. The optical unit includes a plurality of light refracting sections provided at a central portion thereof and arranged in the longitudinal direction of the arc tube, and reflection surfaces provided at the opposite sides of the light refracting sections in the longitudinal direction thereof for reflecting luminous fluxes emitted from the emission unit toward a subject. The light distribution characteristics in transverse and vertical directions can be varied by changing the interval between the emission unit and the optical unit.

  • Patent number: 6735380
Abstract: An intensity of a flashlight projected from a flashlight projector is at the maximum outside a photographic area. A plate protuberance is formed in a center of an inner face of a protector. A part of the flashlight emitted from a flash tube is reflected on upper and lower faces of the plate protuberance so as to tend into the outside of the photographic area. The intensity of the flashlight emitted into a center of the photographic area is deflected on a wedge of an end of a plate protuberance. Thus, distribution pattern of the flashlight is changed by the plate protuberance, and the intensity of the flashlight becomes 1.0-1.5 LV smaller in the center of the photographic area than on upper and lower limits thereof. A main subject in a smaller distance is not overexposed, and a background in a larger distance is not underexposed.
