  • Patent number: 11846093
Abstract: A Waterless Floor Drain Trap Valve is provided as a drain line backup to withstand the pressure from water/sewage reversing direction and flowing into the occupied space of the building. During usage, as a nut on the top of the Valve is tightened, the expandable outer seal forms a plurality of seal points within the inside diameter of the floor drainpipe while almost simultaneously the bottom cover travels in an upward direction further compressing the expandable outer seal and providing robust sealing to prevent backflow into the living space. The Waterless Floor Drain Trap Valve is further configured to connect remotely to various diagnostic devices, mobile platforms and applications for real-time monitoring of the valve performance.

Abstract: A drain stopper includes a cap, a seal and a strainer engaged with the cap, and a gripping element engaged with the strainer. The gripping element is resilient and has a generally tubular shape with longitudinal notches, which give it a segmented annular shape. A person grips and squeezes the gripping element to insert the stopper/strainer into a drain pipe, after which the gripping element expands and grips an inside wall of the drain pipe. The person pushes downwardly on the cap to place the stopper/strainer in a closed position and pulls up on the cap for an open position. Another drain stopper includes a cap, a seal, a push-push mechanism, a strainer engaged with the mechanism, and a flange or prongs that rest on a drain flange for holding and supporting the drain stopper.

Abstract: A pop-up drain valve stopper has a lower portion that is retained in a drain pipe through which liquid passes while exiting the bowl of a sink, and an upper portion that is easily disconnected from the lower portion and withdrawn from the drain pipe so a strainer cup carried by the upper portion can be cleaned or replaced as needed. In one embodiment, the strainer cup is an integral part of the upper portion. In another embodiment, the strainer cup can be detached and cleaned or replaced when it has caught a volume of hair and foreign matter. A threaded connection or equivalent may be used to releasably couple the lower and upper portions. A twist connection or equivalent may be used to releasably couple the strainer cup to another part of the upper portion.

Abstract: A stopper assembly for a drain system of a fluid basin is provided. The stopper head assembly includes a stopper head having a seal to sealingly engage the drain system of the fluid basin when the stopper assembly is moved from a drain position to a plug position and a strainer to strain fluid passing through the drain system when the stopper head is in a drain position. The stopper head assembly further includes a stopper body operably coupleable to a control element to move the assembly between the drain position and the plug position. The stopper body may be detachably coupled to the stopper head and/or the strainer to enable selective removal of the stopper head and the strainer from the stopper body when the stopper body is installed for use and coupled to the control element. Related methods, systems and components are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a drain which comprises an inlet member (1), a grating (13) or cover plate laid loosely or detachably on top of the inlet member, and an outlet member (2). To achieve a short line of contact between the surface covering's sealing layer (6) and the drain while at the same time the sealing layer is fastened by means of a clamping ring (5) or a bonding flange, thereby reducing the risk of leakage and affording the possibility of connecting an aesthetically more pleasing inlet member (1), the inlet member (1) takes the form of an elongate or trilateral plate-like element (11) disposed on top of the sealing layer or the sealing layer (6) and the clamping ring (5) and provided with a recess (12) for flow communication with the outlet member (2). The present invention relates also to an inlet member (1) for a drain as above.
