Abstract: A strainer assembly for use with a floor waste receptor having vertical walls and a floor forming a well into which liquid waste material can be collected and directed toward a well discharge opening and then into a drain pipe, the vertical walls having an outer flange extending outward from the vertical walls at a position below the top surface formed by the vertical walls, and an inner ledge formed below the top surface, and the floor shaped to form a ledge around the drain opening, comprising: a well discharge opening strainer assembly; a basket strainer sized to fit in the well and over the well discharge opening strainer assembly and sit on the floor ledge, the basket strainer provided with openings sized to permit liquid water matter of a second predetermined size to move from the floor receptor well through the basket strainer and into the well discharge opening strainer assembly, and a grate strainer sized to sit on the interior ledge.

Abstract: Described herein is a grease and/or solids collection system that can be installed directly below a sink basin. The system generally comprises an insert cartridge for collecting both solids and grease contained in wastewater draining from the sink. The cartridge can be easily removed through the sink drain, emptied, and reinstalled, for example, using a handle positioned at the top of the cartridge and accessible through the sink drain.

Abstract: A drain guard device for preventing particulates from entering a drain. The drain guard device includes a ring member having an outer circumference and an inner circumference. A groove extends radially along the entire inner circumference. The groove is dimensioned to removably receive a strainer. The ring member is a flexible flat annular ring having a uniform width between the outer circumference and the inner circumference. In use, the drain guard rests over a drain, wherein the lower side of the ring member is configured to frictionally engage an upper side of a surface, such as a floor or sink. The lower side of the ring member is configured to form a suction seal with the upper side of the surface, wherein both the strainer and ring member can be easily removed from the surface by hand when desired.

Abstract: A system for capturing and destroying hair and waste within a shower drain includes a basket placed in the drain which holds a rod including an enzyme blend. The basket captures hair or waste that is washed down shower drains. The enzyme blend neutralizes the hair or waste. The result is a clear drain and clear plumbing, with minimal manual labor. The basket does not require removal because the hair and waste are neutralized before a clog can develop. The enzyme blend is safer for both users and the plumbing systems treated than conventional drain cleaning chemicals.

Abstract: A removable strainer basket, a drain assembly incorporating the basket and a method of using the same. The drain assembly includes a flange assembly mounted in an aperture in a bottom wall of the receptacle. The flange assembly defines a bore therein and a stopper is engaged with the flange assembly and is selectively movable between open and closed positions. A strainer basket is removably positionable within the bore between a part of the stopper and a part of the flange assembly. The strainer basket defines a plurality of apertures therein and through which water is able to flow when the stopper is in the open position. The strainer basket captures hair strands and other articles entrained in the draining water. The basket is selectively removable from the flange assembly for cleaning.

The receptacle is substantially smooth in order to prevent or discourage the growth of algae or the buildup or dirt and grime. The housing may include a ballast compartment configured to receive a second fluid and the trough may include a heating element configured to heat both the first and second fluid. The trough may also include a sieve configured to remove debris from the receptacle.

Abstract: A drain strainer with an upper drain plate with large holes and a lower basket with small holes allows particulate matter to fall through the large holes but not enter the small holes. This two-story feature allows the drain strainer to have a flush, aesthetically pleasing appearance, and also prevents particulate matter from sitting on top of the drain, which could sully the feet of a shower user or could float to other parts of the tub or sink. The upper drain plate could be attached via a recessed hinge with a finger hole that allows a user to easily access the basket without the use of tools.

This prevents such objects from accidentally being discarded into the sink drain. A tray is slidingly suspended within the main interceptor above the reservoir, wherein the tray has fine bottom perforations for retaining small particles of food waste. A draining basket is removably positioned under the side outlets for catching escaped wastes bypassing the main interceptor. The interceptor has a top opening over which the adaptor funnel is placed concentrically to redefine the top opening to fit with the existing sink drainage means.

The larger strainer initially catches all of the debris. When it is filled up, it is withdrawn from the drain via finger engagement with a protruding stub, after which collected debris is emptied into a dry waste receptacle. When void of fluid, the second strainer can be removed from the drain for cleaning via a handle having a bent configuration that clears the strainer above it.

The lower portion of the drain body comprises a concentric cylindrical member of smaller diameter joined to the upper portion by an annular shoulder. The inside diameter of the lower portion is dimensioned to receive a standard drain pipe. An inner strainer is provided to rest on the interior surface of the annular shoulder, and an outer strainer is snappingly secured in an annular groove adjacent to the upper end of the bore in the drain body. Alternatively, a spider may be permanently secured in place of the inner strainer.
