Abstract: An off-counter tableware, cookware or utensils drying/storage space includes a mix of drawers and/or shelves distributed in upper and/or lower locations. The drawers and shelves allow water to evaporate off tableware, cookware or utensil which have been cleaned and placed in the drawer/shelf wet and also direct any water which does not evaporate to a collection point. In addition, a communal washing and/or rinsing station includes a primary washing and rinsing device with a default-spray nozzle. The station can include a high flow filling device and a filtered water faucet.

Abstract: A tool for supporting tiles on a wall being applied to the wall while drying between two countertops. The tile support device includes an elongated body and two longer side pieces that can balance on each countertop. The tile support device includes a ledge or ridge that couples to an angled surface or sloped surface. The tile support device can be positioned beneath a last level or row of drying tiles without having to fasten the tool to a wall surface or other surface therefore preventing damage to the wall surface or other surface from fasteners. The tile support device can be easily positioned and removed from beneath the last level or row of drying tiles that are drying on the wall.

Abstract: A stanchion for supporting a structure includes a bracket configured to be coupled to the structure, a threaded rod coupled to and extending from the bracket, and a housing having a first end adjacent the bracket, a second end opposite the first end, and an engagement member positioned within the housing between the first end and the second end. The engagement member has threads that engage the threaded rod. The stanchion also includes a connection body extending from the first end of the housing and engaging the bracket to selectively inhibit rotation of the housing about the threaded rod. The housing is rotatable about the threaded rod to temporarily deflect the connection body away from the bracket and adjust a length of the stanchion.

A series of hooks are capable of holding a series of straps under tension to support an under mount sink in position with a located on the lip of the under-mount sink. A continuous loop of closed cell PVC is disposed atop the lip of the sink, so that when the sink is tightened through the countertop underlay, the lip of the sink encounters the underside of the countertop and the sealing material is compressed, forming a permanent, flexible, water-tight seal.

Abstract: A method for protecting the wood board layer from potential water damage during use is disclosed. The method for protecting the wood board layer from potential water damage originating from the faucet plumbing provides for replacing the particle board with non-porous plastic blocks in the areas in which holes are drilled in order to accommodate the faucet plumbing. The non-porous plastic blocks enclose the faucet plumbing and prevent the water from a possible leak to come in contact with the particle board areas around the plumbing for a long enough period of time until the leak can be repaired. The method for protecting the wood board layer from potential water damage originating from the sink caulking provides for applying a waterproof sealer to the bottom of the particle board in an area around the sink apertures that has a perimeter extending at least 2 inches from the sink aperture.

Abstract: Provided herein are adapters useful in constructing countertops for kitchens and other areas in which fixtures such as sinks and cooking range tops are desired to be installed. Through use of an adapter according to the invention, on-site cutting of holes or voids in stone countertops is eliminated and countertops may be fabricated using plain rectangular slabs of stone or other materials readily. Use of an adapter according to the invention reduces labor and costs associated with countertop fabrication and installation.

Abstract: A method for undermounting a sink to a countertop includes preparing a countertop and a sink. Thereafter a primary channel is routed within the backside of the countertop, the primary channel including a base and being shaped and dimensioned for receipt of the sink flange, and a secondary channel is routed within the base of the primary channel along an interior circumference of the primary channel. Substrate material is then removed from the secondary channel to expose an underside of the decorative laminate and adhesive is applied within the secondary channel so that the underside of the decorative laminate is fully covered. A bead of adhesive is applied to the base of the primary channel and the sink flange is placed within the primary channel. A support plate is secured around the sink flange to provide support and a central portion of the countertop defined by the primary channel is cut out to expose the bowl of the sink.

The basin floor may be sloped in multiple directions while the cutting board, when coupled to the stanchion, extends generally parallel to the horizontal plane of the support surface.

Abstract: This invention deals with a sink having a flange can be flush mounted in a countertop where the countertop is made of a laminate upper layer supported by a wood based body such as particle board. The countertop is readied for sink mounting by ploughing out a sink channel in the supporting body of the countertop. The sink channel is filled with a hardenable plastic such as an epoxy. The upper surface of the epoxy and the laminate is machined such as by a router to create a rabbet to accommodate the flange of the sink. The sink channel is arranged so that the hardened epoxy extends under the laminate so that any water which passes under the flange of the sink will contact the epoxy and not the wood based structure. A faucet having holes to accommodate hot water, cold water, spigot and faucet accessories can be mounted using the same channel and epoxy system.
