Abstract: In an implementation, a sink assembly is disclosed. The sink assembly includes a flush-mounted sink assembly including a substrate including a basin portion and a flange portion extending its entirety along a single plane, a mounting bracket configured to be secured to a countertop, and a support structure configured to be disposed over the mounting bracket and interface with the flange portion when installed within a countertop cutout.
Abstract: A kitchen sink and the method of installing the kitchen sink is disclosed. The kitchen sink for flush mounting onto a counter top having a recess for the sink, comprising one or a plurality of sink basins thereon; a deck having a substantially horizontal top surface and edges having a recess formed into a rim around the perimeter of the kitchen sink, wherein the top surface of the deck is adapted to be substantially flush with the counter top upon the sink is being mounted to the counter top, and the edges of the rim is being formed into a flange; four corners of the sink being formed rounded such that when the sink is installed into the recess on the edge of the hole opening in the counter top, the flange is substantially flush with the counter top at a level surface thereof, whereby the kitchen sink is being mounted in flush fit of the deck and the counter top.
Abstract: A method for installing a finish trim molding on a wall, the method includes mounting a trim holding device on the wall, the trim holding device comprising a mounting bracket configured to mount in facing contact with the wall, the mounting bracket further comprising a pair of mounting flanges disposed on the mounting bracket, the pair of mounting flanges being substantially horizontal and extending perpendicularly outward away from the mounting bracket and the wall; and mounting the finish trim molding onto the trim holding device, the finish trim molding defining a pair of channels, the pair of channels being substantially horizontal and defined perpendicular to a vertical rear surface of the finish trim molding, the pair of channels configured to receive the pair of mounting flanges.
Abstract: A sink mountable to an underside of a counter, an assembly including this sink, a method installing this sink, and a method of manufacturing this sink are disclosed. The sink includes at least one basin with a rim extending generally outwardly from an upper boundary of the basin. The rim includes at least one channel recessed relative to an upper surface of the rim. Among other things, this channel may strengthen and inhibit warping of the rim as well as be configured to neatly receive a sealant during installation.
Abstract: Polymeric plumbing fixtures such as sinks, lavatories and tubs are disclosed that comprise a thermoformed or molded interior shell having a top side with a relatively smooth, polymeric surface; a polymeric reinforcing layer bonded to the underside of the shell; and a thermoformed or polymeric cap nestably engageable with the underside of the reinforced shell. The cap cooperates with the shell to encapsulate the reinforcing layer and the reinforcing layer bonds the cap the shell to form a unitary structure. The polymeric cap thereby provides an attractive, finished surface on the underside of the resultant fixture. The structural configuration disclosed herein is particularly preferred for use in making kitchen sinks. A method for making the subject fixtures is also disclosed.
Abstract: A multi-layered concave basin is formed for mounting in an opening in a wash stand. The basin is made from pliant woven twigs with successive bottom layers of a first clear epoxy, a clear fiber cloth and a second clear epoxy and a top layer of a third clear epoxy to create a basin impervious to water under pressure from a wash basin spigot.
Abstract: A decorative sink apron with curved corners. The exposed portion of the apron has brackets attached thereto and a decorative cover is secured to the brackets.
Abstract: A kitchen sink with a frame and at least one basin are prefabricated as separate parts. For the connection between frame and basin(s), one of the two parts has undercut zones and the connection takes place through pressing the other part into an undercut zones mentioned, or into an interference fitting area.
