Rubber Seats Patents (Class 4/DIG8)
  • Patent number: 5191660
Abstract: An arrangement for detachably holding seats (2) to the bowls of water-flushed toilets and comprising a number of arms (10) which can be adjustably attached to the underside of the seat (2). The free outer ends of the arms (10) are provided with pins (11) which can be locked in positions against the outside of the bowl rim of the toilet when the seat (2) is placed in position on the bowl. The arms (10) are pivotally mounted and can be locked in selected positions. The pins (11) are provided with a sleeve (12) of rubber or plastic material which generates a frictional force in contact with the toilet bowl. The arms (10) pivot around a screw (19) which is screwed into the underside of the toilet seat (2) and which in one position enables the arm (10) to be adjusted positionally and in another position locks the arm.

  • Patent number: 4998298
Abstract: A portable kneeling aid for use by a human male while urinating into a conventional flush-type toilet bowl with upper rim from a kneeling position comprising a portable platform having a top surface and supporting structure secured to and beneath the top surface for supporting the top surface horizontally above a floor adjacent to the toilet bowl at a height which permits the male while kneeling with one knee upon the top surface to urinate into the toilet bowl from a level slightly above the rim of the toilet bowl, an upright standard secured to said platform and a hand grip secured to the top of said standard for supporting the male while kneeling onto the platform and while rising from a kneeling position on the platform to a standing position. A method of use for the kneeling aid includes the steps of kneeling onto the platform, urinating into the bowl and rising from the platform. The kneeling and rising steps are facilitated by the standard and handgrip.

  • Patent number: 4838967
Abstract: This invention is concerned with inflatable plastic baby baths similar in shape to a rubber tire inner tube having an impervious web across the ring. The web is preferably midway between the top and the bottom of the inflatable tube or annulus, and by inflating the article while hot during manufacture a smooth and wrinkle-free appearance can be produced. Such a plastic bath can be made virtually immovable on a smooth surface by expelling air from under the web and causing a partial vacuum. The diameter of the inflated tube is sufficiently great relative to the width of the web to prevent the web touching the supporting surface in normal use.

  • Patent number: 4248646
Abstract: A cushioned toilet seat, and a method for its manufacture, are disclosed, wherein the cushion material is itself formed and shaped during the process of manufacture. The cushion material comprises polyurethane foam which is formed from a reaction mixture placed within a vacuum-forming mold which is used to shape the seat. The seat is supported by a stiff annular member, and is completely enclosed by suitable soft plastic, which plastic is heat-sealed for sturdy construction. No holes need be made in the seat during the manufacturing process.
