  • Patent number: 11359407
Abstract: An indicator lock has a rotatable indicator which rotates with the depression of a button on the other side of the lock which is used to simultaneously cause a door to be locked and rotate the indicator. This is accomplished by way of a shaft which rotationally moves with the the locking button. The locking button is pressed inwards and rotates as it is pressed inwards due to a channel which is diagonally disposed relative to the direction the button is pressed. A pin extending out from a shaft of the button is in the diagonal channel and a spring adds tension to push the button and display back to the unlocked configuration. This tension is overcome when the button is pressed and the pin enters into a section of the channel which is parallel to the shaft and direction of button press.

  • Patent number: 10920466
Abstract: A door latch assembly configured to be used in an aircraft lavatory door. The door latch assembly includes a housing that includes a housing interior, a switch member operatively associated with the housing that is rotatable between a first position and a second position, and a locking bolt that is movable linearly between an unlocked position and a locked position. Rotation of the switch member from the first position to the second position moves the locking bolt from the unlocked position to the locked position.

  • Patent number: 10329799
Abstract: A latch mechanism is provided that includes a housing, a cap, and at least one indicator. The cap may include a central axis and may be mounted for selective rotational movement relative to the housing about the central axis between a latched position and an unlatched position. The at least one indicator may be interposed between the cap and the housing, such that the cap is in covering relationship to at least a portion of the at least one indicator. The at least one indicator may also be mounted for radial movement outwardly from the central axis relative to the cap as the cap is rotated from the latched position to the unlatched position such that the cap is no longer in covering relationship to the portion of the at least one indicator.

  • Patent number: 10047549
Abstract: A latch includes a first locking bolt, where a first extended position of the first locking bolt defines a first locked condition and a first retracted position defines a first unlocked condition. The latch also includes a second locking bolt, where a second extended position of the second locking bolt defines a second locked condition and a second retracted position defines a second unlocked condition. A biasing member operatively connects to the first locking bolt to bias the first locking bolt in the first extended position. A lever pivotally connects to the housing and operatively connects to the first locking bolt such that movement of the lever from a closed position to an opened position causes at least the first locking bolt to move from the first extended position to the first retracted position. A locking indicator is provided in associated with the second locking bolt.

  • Patent number: 9945158
Abstract: An exit device having a dogging mechanism assembly for providing a visual indication of the state or position of at least certain components of the exit device, such as, for example, a latch, drive rod, and/or a hook bracket. The dogging mechanism assembly includes a displaceable arm actuator mechanism that is coupled to the hook bracket, the hook bracket being adapted to lockingly engage the drive rod. The actuator arm mechanism is adapted to displace an indicator mechanism at least from a first indicator position to a second indicator position as the actuator arm mechanism is displaced to at least one of a first position and a second position. The indicator mechanism has one or more indicators that provide a visual indication of a state or position of a component of the exit device when the indicator mechanism is in at least one of a first and second indicator position.
