The flexible license plate includes plural layers, including a licensing-information layer, in which ink is deposited in the form of alphanumeric characters on an underlying one of the plural layers, the alphanumeric characters providing license information. The flexible license plate optionally includes one or more holograms, and/or watermarks, and/or QR-codes. The flexible license plate is disposed on the backing, which extends beyond the perimeter of the flexible license plate, defining a marginal region. In some embodiments, plural indices are disposed in the marginal region to facilitate alignment of flexible license plate during installation thereof on a motor vehicle.

Abstract: Systems and methods encourage users to rotate injection sites and avoid lipodystrophy. Sleeves and/or lost-tooth gear dials and/or microswitches in or on injection pens or their caps, on vials, and on other portable devices manually adjust an indicator before or after an injection to show a current or next injection site in accordance with a site rotation plan. Injected medicine packaging and related printed indicia encourage site rotation. Optical devices employing optical mouse or projection technology help locate and/or distribute injection sites within a body area. A mobile phone app tracks injections and locations to select next injection site, and can use imaging to locate a target injection site and optionally diagnose lipodystrophic conditions and record them. Tactile and print media educational tools are presented to help users palpate and identify lipos in body areas having injection sites.

Abstract: A method of producing customized artwork includes forming and finishing a plurality of backdrops by cutting and/or engraving sheet metal. Based upon an order received for a customized artwork a particular backdrop is selected and a customized ornamental component is produced in sheet metal. If the backdrop and customized component are prone to galvanic corrosion, insulation may be provided between the customized component and backdrop and to insulate fasteners from either the customized component or backdrop. The method reduces lead times and production costs for customized artwork, while improving quality of the final product.

Abstract: In accordance with the present application, there is provided a release liner and method of preparing a liner for a label assembly. The release liner includes paper having a first side that does not have a machine finish or gloss finish or a coating; and a silicone treatment applied to the first side of the paper. The method of preparing a liner for a label assembly includes applying a coat of silicone to a paper at a side of the paper that does not have a machine finish or gloss finish and is otherwise uncoated; and curing the silicone. The release liner includes paper having a silicone coat weight of 0.5 lb/ream or less.

Abstract: The present invention includes a shield having a shield portion and a handle, the handle comprising a wall mount that allows the shield to be hung on a wall. The handle is coupled to the shield portion at a first end portion and a second end portion. An outward bending portion is disposed between the first end portion and the second end portion that allows a user to hold the shield. The wall mount includes a slit configured to house the head of a nail or other hanging fixtures and enables the shield to be mounted on a wall.

Abstract: A sensor cover according to embodiments of the disclosure is capable of being used with a non-invasive physiological sensor, such as a pulse oximetry sensor. Certain embodiments of the sensor cover reduce or eliminate false readings from the sensor when the sensor is not in use, for example, by blocking a light detecting component of a pulse oximeter sensor when the pulse oximeter sensor is active but not in use. Further, embodiments of the sensor cover can prevent damage to the sensor. Additionally, embodiments of the sensor cover prevent contamination of the sensor.

Abstract: An authenticable and machine readable coating for pills, tablets and other ingestible materials is provided. The disclosure also relates to methods of authenticating the same. The coatings are formed from a lattice of particles stacked to cause selective diffraction such that each pill or tablet has an optical signature. The signature associated with each coating can be read and authenticated. In one embodiment, the particles are substantially spherical and self-organized. In one embodiment, generally recognized as safe (GRAS) materials are used to form the particles.

Abstract: Moisture-activated invisible stencil technology is created by applying a moisture-blocking agent in accordance with an artwork is applied to a base substrate. The base substrate is preferably fabricated of a moisture absorbing material. When the object is subjected to moisture, moisture wets to the exposed portion of the base substrate and is repelled in the areas where the moisture-blocking agent is applied thereon. The wetted portion of the base substrate changes in shade or color to expose the concealed image. The moisture-activated invisible stencil technology can be applied for simple aesthetic applications or advanced for applications to identify wet objects.
