The set of program instructions includes receiving a print start operation to start printing images represented by first and second sets of print data. The first set of print data represents a first print image correlated with a first print medium type. The second set of print data represents a second print image correlated with a second print medium type. The set of program instructions include transmitting the first set of print data, and transmitting the second set of print data to the printer. The second print image is to be printed after the first print image is printed. The transmitting the second set of print data is performed before the printer complete printing the first print image.

Abstract: A first aid trauma kit case that provides for a means of treating specific trauma injuries related to massive bleeding and tension pneumothorax. An embodiment of the first aid trauma kit case contains as part of its architecture an easily readable format for identifying an injury location and instructions, that are integrated as part of the case, on how to apply certain specific medical devices contained within the case. An embodiment of the case also provides for a color-coded identification system for easy identification of the preferred treatment method for the suffered trauma injury. The design of the integrated instructions and the color-coded system work in tandem to provide for a quick method of identifying and treating specific types of trauma related injuries.

Abstract: Label constructions comprise a first section and a second section that are laminate constructions of a card stock top surface that may include printed indicia, an adhesive layer disposed underneath the card stock, and a removable liner adhered to the adhesive layer and common to the first and second sections. The first section includes an RFID device. The first section may be configured once removed from the liner to fold on itself to form an RFID tag, or to form an RFID adhesive label. The second section once separately removed from the liner forms an adhesive label. The construction first and second sections are positioned adjacent one another and are formed during the same manufacturing process for purposes of manufacturing efficiency. The first and second sections may be treated to facilitate separate removal from the liner to provide labeling flexibility.

The second adhesive area is in contact with the first release area and the first adhesive area in a contact with the second release area, to form a 2-PLY composite tape.

Abstract: A vehicle registration mounting assembly and method includes a vehicle having a bumper with an outer surface. A panel has a front side, a back side and a perimeter edge and the panel is elongated from a first side edge to a second side edge. The panel is comprised of a plastic material, which is flexible to conform to contours of the outer surface of the bumper. An adhesive is positioned on the back side of the panel. The adhesive adheres the back side of the panel to the outer surface of the bumper. A plurality of identification indicia is positioned within a laminate formed by bonding of layers of the panel to identify an owner of the vehicle.

Abstract: A promotional item is arranged as a calendar having a magnetic sheet that acts as a label carrier. On a front side of the magnetic sheet are a plurality of peel-off labels that can be affixed to items such as medicine containers. The magnetic sheet can have advertising printed on the front side as well. The labels can be stacked so that there are multiple labels for each time period (month, week), and the labels have portions of scratch-off material for marking the passage of time (e.g. days) to indicate the item was used for a given time period, such as indicating that the medication was taken on a given day.

Abstract: A web of bonding labels includes a face stock and a release liner. The face stock has both a first adhesive layer and a first release layer on a top surface of the face stock and a second adhesive layer on a bottom surface of the face stock. The release liner has a second release layer on a top surface of the release liner arranged to protect the second adhesive layer on the bottom surface of the face stock and a third release layer on a bottom surface of the release liner. The face stock is separated into a succession of labels carried on the release liner such that each label includes a first complementary area defined on the top surface of the face stock by the first adhesive layer and a second larger complementary area that is at least as large as the first complementary area defined on the top surface of the face stock by the first release layer.

Abstract: Technologies are provided for secure sanitization of a storage device. A storage device can be configured to support an operational mode, into which the storage device is placed by default, and in which requests to cryptographically erase the storage device are rejected. The storage device can support a separate sanitization mode in which a request to cryptographically erase the storage device will be processed. Access to the sanitization mode can be restricted to trusted sources (such as a boot firmware of a computer connected to the storage device). The storage device can be configured to reject a command to place the storage device in the sanitization mode, unless the command is received during an initialization of the storage device. In at least some embodiments, the storage device can reject data access commands while it is in the sanitization mode.

Abstract: One or more cuts is provided in a label liner sheet near the area of a cutout within the label, such as the center hole in a CD label, in order to facilitate reliable separation of the cutout from the label and retention of the cutout on the liner sheet as the label is peeled from the liner. The majority of the cut runs generally parallel to the cutout boundary underneath the cutout, and the ends of the cut cross the boundary at two separate boundary crossing points on either side of the portion of the cut running parallel to the boundary. The cut first causes a flap to be created in the liner sheet and partially lifted as the label is beginning to be peeled away. Thereafter, as the peel line passes the flap area, the cutout experiences the full retentive strength of the label's pressure sensitive adhesive primarily at the two boundary crossings, and the cutout is pulled from the label and retained on the liner sheet as the adhesive force overcomes the cohesive force.

Abstract: A frame web assembly for securing a label to an apparel item is provided. The assembly includes a substrate, a label, and a frame web. The frame web includes a carrier web having first and second faces, the first face having an adhesive, and at least one frame element with the first side having an adhesive and the second side in contact with the first face of the carrier web. The present invention also includes a method for branding the apparel item which includes applying a frame element over the woven label and then adhering the woven label and frame element to an apparel item.

Abstract: Forms that can be used to make stickers easily on demand, wherein the stickers are of the type in which a face of the sticker that bears printed information (graphic, textual, bar code, security, and/or other) also bears an adhesive that is used to affix the sticker to a desired substrate. A carrier sheet supports a sticker body and an adhesive source. The sticker body and the adhesive are initially separated on the form. The sticker face and the adhesive are registrably positioned with respect to a fold line. This allows the adhesive to be transferred to the sticker face on demand by an easy, desirably manual process that involves folding the form along the fold line. When the form is unfolded, the sticker can be removed and applied to the desired substrate.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a pro label book includes printing static indicia on a web of label material, applying an adhesive to each portion of the web of label material that will become a label page in a pro label book that is not the portion of the web of label material that will become a top page of a label book to be formed if the adhesive is applied to a top surface of the web of label material or a bottom page of a label book to be formed if the adhesive is applied to the bottom surface of the web of label material, printing variable information on the web of label material, sheeting the web of label material to form label pages, and batching the label pages together utilizing the applied adhesive. Certain embodiments include attaching one of a backer or a cover to the web of label material following the printing static indicia step.

Abstract: Delamination of a laminated multilayer stack is provided by generating a layer-specific energy distribution in the stack during delamination. A localized energy transferrer can generate localized heating, cooling heating, cooling, or other form of energy absorption or transmission, in a bonding layer of a multilayer stack. Localized energy transfer can include thermal energy transfer, such as heating and/or cooling, acoustic energy transfer, such as applying ultrasonic energy, electromagnetic energy transfer, such as applying laser light, directed microwaves, etc. Localized energy transfer can generate a layer-specific energy distribution that can weaken the bonding layer while reducing damage to other layers of the stack.

Preprinted indicia on each of the preprinted postage labels are preprinted on generally the same location on all of the preprinted postage labels. The preprinted indicia are all oriented in a same orientation relative to the sheet. A printable area of each preprinted postage label is positioned on the label such that when indicia are printed on one or more of the preprinted postage labels, the indicia are positioned within the printable area irrespective of a right side up or upside down feeding orientation of the printable postage sheet into a printer.

Consequently, when the label is heated, it will tend to curl and this effect can be used to assist in the removal of the label from the article in a hot washing bath during recycling of the article.

The leaflet is a single sheet that is folded into a leaflet without the use of glue. The overlaminate strip is laminated across the entire longitudinal direction of the leaflet and laminated to another section of the upper surface of said substrate to form an extended content label. The height of the overlaminate strip is narrower than the leaflet so that all of the accordion-type folds extend beyond the overlaminate strip.

Abstract: An IV bag/line safety device including a tag set and a bag attacher removably connected to the tag set. The tag set includes a plurality of tags printed with the name of an IV solution. The bag attacher is configured to attach the safety device to an IV bag containing the IV solution printed on the tags. After attachment, the safety device provides visual cues to a user inviting the user to disconnect the tags from the safety device. After disconnecting one or more of the tags, the user may attach those tags to an IV tubing line connected to the IV bag through which the IV solution contained in the IV bag flows from the IV bag into a patient. This enables the user to quickly identify a given IV tubing line having at least one tag attached thereto as containing a particular IV solution.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an adhesive-backed printed pressure sensitive cut label assembly with easy temporary removability, wherein the portion of the label forming the label stock may be printed on the back- or reverse-side of the label face stock and whereby the printed surface is applied with a hot melt or acrylic adhesive that ensures easy short-term removability from a container surface and reapplication thereto. The label stock is laminated to a base stock comprising a paper or polymeric release liner coated with silicone or other adhesive release coating. During manufacturing of the label assembly, the label stock and base stock are simultaneously fed to laminating rollers following a die-cutting process, whereby the two are joined. One feature of the invention is the ease of temporary removability after application to the surface of a container whereby there is no adhesion of the ink printed on the label to the container surface itself.

Abstract: A linerless duplex label system is operable to print and apply a linerless duplex label to a substrate. A plurality of linerless duplex labels are provided and each label includes a single-ply stock with top and bottom faces. The label also includes an endless adhesive border applied to the bottom face. The adhesive border is an unactivated, selectively activatable adhesive, such labels are overlaid on one another without any substantial adhesion therebetween. Each label may essentially be freely removed from the others, and the adhesive may thereafter be activated so that the label can be adhesively applied to the substrate.

Abstract: Reusable, PSA labels and related methods. Some labels comprise a layer of PSA and an information layer. The PSA layer defines bond and exposed surfaces wherein the exposed surface is removable and bondable to contact surfaces. Additionally, the information layer defines exposed and bond surfaces wherein the exposed surface is able to receive a (removable) marking. The information layer is bonded to the layer of PSA. Labels can comprise Braille structures on the exposed surfaces of the information layer. Some reusable PSA labels comprise an intermediate adhesive layer so that the bonding is via the intermediate layer. If desired, the bond surfaces of the PSA layers can be on a sub-layer of the PSA layers and can have flow temperatures of no more than about 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Moreover, labels can have PSA layers that remain flexible at a temperature of about 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

Abstract: A shipping document comprises a first printable portion and a second printable portion attached together by a connecting strip comprising at least one detachable chad, and at least one detachable border strip removably attached to at least one free edge of the first printable portion. When the second printable portion is folded against the first printable portion the border strip extends beyond the second printable portion. When an adhesive is applied to the removable chad and the border strip, the shipping label can be secured to a surface by the adhesive and subsequently removed from the surface by detaching the border strip and the chad from the sheet, while the first and second printable portions remain attached along the connecting strip. The invention includes a method and apparatus for applying the shipping document to a surface.

Abstract: An IV bag/line safety device including a tag set and a bag attacher removably connected to the tag set. The tag set includes a plurality of tags printed with the name of an IV solution. The bag attacher is configured to attach the safety device to an IV bag containing the IV solution printed on the tags. After attachment, the safety device provides visual cues to a user inviting the user to disconnect the tags from the safety device. After disconnecting one or more of the tags, the user may attach those tags to an IV tubing line connected to the IV bag through which the IV solution contained in the IV bag flows from the IV bag into a patient. Abstract: A linerless duplex label system is operable to print and apply a linerless duplex label to a substrate. A plurality of linerless duplex labels are provided and each label includes a single-ply stock with top and bottom faces.
