Including Delay Means For Preventing Malfunction In Powered Typewriter Patents (Class 400/50)
  • Patent number: 10142168
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for improving debugging and troubleshooting of datacenter networks, and more particularly improving the speed of forwarding/data path related problems without going into ASIC level debugging. A switch could, for example, have a processor which communicates with an ASIC. The processor can receive flow information and a notification from the ASIC, the notification indicating a predefined error condition has been identified in a packet. The processor can modify the ASIC programming based on the notification, such that the ASIC records additional, more-detailed, flow information for the switch. The processor can then receive, from the modified ASIC, the additional flow information. The additional flow information can then be used (either by the processor or by an operator) to identify the exact reason for the errors in the flow path.

  • Patent number: 8909371
Abstract: A pointer is guided by a user of a processing machine in succession to a number of locations of a working space of the processing machine. The pointer has first location determining devices which are arranged at predetermined pointer locations relative to a pointer coordinate system in fixed relationship to the pointer. Through interaction of the first location determining devices with second location determining devices arranged at predetermined locations relative to a machine coordinate system in fixed relationship to the processing machine, data describing a geometric relationship of the location determining devices relative to one another are acquired. These data are transmitted to a control device which determines the position of the pointer in the working space based on the characteristic data and based on the data subdivides the working space into a permitted movement range for a component of the processing machine and a complementary prohibited movement range.

  • Patent number: 5209582
Abstract: A thermal printer uses a thermal line head which, when paper having a width smaller than a predetermined width is supplied in error, is able to inhibit electric supply to the heat generating devices that are situated outside of the paper to thereby prevent the heat generating devices from shortening their life span due to the idle heating thereof. There is provided a device which can be moved in the width, or lateral, direction of paper to detect the side edges of the paper and, in accordance with the moving distance of the paper side edge detection units from the reference position thereof, it is possible to specify the block of the thermal line head to which electric supply is to be inhibited.

  • Patent number: 4607572
Abstract: A printing system for printing characters in various fonts and formats onto webs of sheet stock of various sizes includes apparatus for cutting the web into various lengths to accommodate various formats as well as for providing different lengths of tags which are interposed between batches of tags to permit easy separation of the batches. A stacker is also provided which selectively stacks the tags in a shingle fashion or into piles. Circuitry is provided to detect jams in the system and to assure that the proper size web corresponding to the selected format is used. Also, the system is provided with circuitry for adjusting the line print position to compensate for positioning errors caused by mechanical tolerances in the printers.
