Abstract: Device for dispensing and applying a liquid, semi-fluid, or pasty cosmetic or care product having an elongate and hollow rotary body and an elongate and hollow outer shaft butted together and rotatable one to the other, an applicator endpiece secured to the end of the rotary body, the rotary body and outer shaft forming an interior volume in which a pierced cylinder having a longitudinal duct is formed, and an inner shaft having an open end through which the pierced cylinder is introduced and a closed end forming a reservoir for the product. The pierced cylinder is fixed in translation with respect to the rotary body. A mechanism of the device converts rotation of the rotary body with respect to the outer shaft into movement of the inner shaft in translation with respect to the pierced cylinder in the interior volume formed by the rotary body and the outer shaft.

Abstract: A paint applicator, kit and methodology for using the same is disclosed. For example, a paint applicator that allows a user to load a desired amount of paint, such as a water based or other low VOC paint, into the paint applicator and an advancement mechanism that dispenses paint at a rate controllable by the user is disclosed. The advancement mechanism can include a system that translates a rotational force applied to an end cap of the applicator into a linear force that advances a piston which in turn applies paint to an applicator portion. The paint applicator may be reusable or may include a ratchet system that allows for only one-time use. The methodology and kit can incorporate a syringe for loading paint into the paint applicator, thus reducing the loss of paint through spilling.

The dispensing package has a movable elevator platform having a coupling sleeve with a non-threaded section and a threaded section along an inner surface. The dispensing package also has a screw assembly with a spindle that supports threads; a seal extending around the circumference of the spindle; a threaded first portion coupled to the threaded section along the inner surface of the moveable elevator platform; and a non-threaded second portion. The seal frictionally engages with the non-threaded section of the coupling sleeve and the movable elevator platform advances along an axis from a first fill volume position to a second fill volume position.

The packaged antiperspirant product includes an anhydrous antiperspirant composition having an antiperspirant active and a package having a container body with an interior chamber storing the anhydrous antiperspirant composition. A dome closes one end of the container body and has a plurality of apertures extending through the thickness of the dome. A movable elevator is disposed within the container body. The anhydrous antiperspirant composition is expellable through the plurality of apertures when the elevator is advanced toward the dome. The dome is formed at least in part from a thermally conductive material and wherein one of the dome or the thermally conductive material have a thermal conductivity greater than about 5 W/m·K.

The first dispensing package also has a seal component that covers the top opening. The second dispensing package also has a perforated dome cover that covers the top opening. The outer caps of the first dispensing package and the second dispensing package are interchangeable with each other. The dispensing packages may have the same source identifier.

Abstract: A rod-shaped cosmetic material feeding container in which a leading tube and a container main body are relatively rotated in one direction, an action of a screw part moves a rod-shaped cosmetic material supporting body to reach a movement limit, and then the leading tube and the container main body are further relatively rotated in the one direction. With movement of the rod-shaped cosmetic material supporting body stopped, while a spring portion in a rotation stopper tube shrinks, the screw part screws forward to release screwing of the screw part. Additionally, the movement of the rod-shaped cosmetic material supporting body is stopped and therefore the rod-shaped cosmetic material supporting body does not move back and forth in an axial direction. Accordingly, a rod-shaped cosmetic material does not move back and forth in the axial direction as well, thereby ensuring minimizing an impact to the rod-shaped cosmetic material.

Abstract: The method of the present invention is directed to the storage and dispensing of a peroxide containing tooth whitening composition. During storage and subsequent use the composition in the storage chamber must be maintained segregated from the applicator surface. This is accomplished by delivering the peroxide containing tooth whitening composition from the storage chamber through a delivery channel having a length and a cross-sectional diameter sufficient to preclude the migration of moisture and the enzyme catalase from the application surface to the storage chamber. The composition is applied to teeth by means of bristles, a sponge surface or fibrillated surface. This applicator can be used with both aqueous and non-aqueous peroxide containing tooth whitening compositions.

Alternating prong heights increases effectiveness in applying mascara onto all sides of a user's lashes. Other applicator heads are configured for lip product applications such as for lipstick, and for eye products such as eyeliner and eye shadow.

Abstract: A combination brush and dispenser apparatus for paste materials to be applied by brushing action, is provided as a brushing section with a first passage and portal leading to brush bristles and a matching dispensing section which supplies regulated amount of the material through a second passage into the first passage. The dispenser may optionally include a unitary apparatus with the two sections permanently attached, or a multi-section apparatus in which the brushing and dispensing sections are separable. Various forms of dispensing devices are described for controlling the quantity of paste material supplied to the brushing section for each separate use of the apparatus.
