With Sheet Retainer Guard Patents (Class 402/71)
  • Patent number: 8096726
Abstract: Sheet Lifter for use with multi ring sheet or page holders and multi ring binders. The Device is made from a thin ridged panel with a plurality of notches and slots. The Device is positioned in order to interact with the rings and binder spine of the page holder or binder. The Device rests on the spine with the pages or sheets resting on the Device. The Device prevents the pages or sheets from traveling past the maximum horizontal diameter point of the rings when the holder or binder is fully opened. When the holder or binder is closed the Device creates sufficient upward pressure against the pages or sheets to return them to their closed position at the maximum vertical diameter point of the rings. The pressure required is minimal.

Abstract: A clip report cover for unpunched documents (16) comprises a U-shaped clip element that is formed by a retaining piece (7), a connecting rib (8), and a clip piece (9) and extends across the clip report cover in the swiveled-in or inserted state. The clip edge (12) of the clip piece (9) is lowered beyond the clip plane (19) of the retaining piece (7), preferably into a clip slot (14) configured in the retaining piece (7) or a retaining piece groove such that the documents remain securely clamped even after reducing the stack height.

  • Patent number: 6345924
Abstract: A binder ring assembly (10) for a ring binder comprises a plurality of spaced binder rings (12-16). A user operable mechanism (18) to which the rings are attached allows the user to open and close the rings to open and close the binder. A shield (22) covers the mechanism. The binder rings protrude through the shield. A recess (26) is formed in the cover adjacent each cover location where a binder ring is located. During shipment of binder ring assemblies, one layer (L1) of assemblies is placed in a container (C) with another, inverted layer (L2) of assemblies placed over them. The outer ends of the binder rings are received in the recesses of the covers, and the depth of each recess is such that the outer end of the binder rings of the mating assembly will not come out of the recesses and rub against the non-recessed portion of the cover which, if scratched, renders the assembly unusable.

  • Patent number: 6039494
Abstract: A casing board for organizing, storing, protecting and displaying communications media, such as papers, audio and video cassettes and compact discs, includes a substrate made of a relatively rigid material. The substrate includes a front cover portion, a rear cover portion and a spine portion positioned between and hingedly connected to the front cover portion and the rear cover portion. The casing board further includes an outer wrap made of a flexible, polyolefin material and sized to have longitudinal and lateral dimensions slightly greater than the longitudinal and lateral dimensions of the substrate. The outer wrap is positioned adjacent the exterior surface of the substrate with the longitudinal and lateral edges of the outer wrap turned over the periphery of the substrate and affixed, preferably with an adhesive, to the interior surface of the substrate.
