  • Patent number: 10519660
Abstract: A key-locked rebar clamping assembly includes a clamp that may be forced onto the perpendicular intersection of the upper and lower rods of crossed rebar and then held from below with a key. The assembly is readily installed by forcing the clamp over the intersection of the upper and lower rods and forcing the key through a keyway in opposing sides of the clamp. The assembly holds the rods together with the clamp at the top and the key at the bottom regardless of force, vibration, and the like applied to either rod. As the key constrains downward movement of the lower rod away from the clamp and the upper rod, the lower rod will not separate from the upper rod if walked on. The assembly reduces the need to alternate longitudinal adjacent rods between upper and lower positions, thus saving labor costs through the elimination of wire tying and complicated positioning.

  • Patent number: 4186831
Abstract: The invention is a unique connector for joining the juxtaposed ends of the shafts of two adjacent conveyor idler rolls. The shaft ends are provided with diametrically extending pivots. The connecting link comprises a continuous or endless loop of relatively rigid high strength material folded over to form two pairs of spaced but parallel gudgeons, each pair of gudgeons forming a clevis. One clevis loopingly or pivotably engages the pivots attached to one idler shaft, and the other clevis similarly engages the perpendicularly aligned pivots attached to the other shaft. In one embodiment, a trunnion nut having colinearly extending pivot stubs and a threaded central opening, is screwed onto the end of each shaft. Optionally, a flexible grease tube can be passed from one shaft end through the connector to the other shaft end to provide flow-through lubrication capability.

  • Patent number: 4110951
Abstract: A clip for joining crossed reinforcing bars while holding each of the bars independently of the other includes a formed body of resilient plastic material of general U-shape configuration including confronting flange portions carried by an intermediate web portion at one end of the flanges. The interior surfaces of the flanges are formed to include arcuately relieved portions for yieldingly receiving and gripping one bar lying therein in a plane disposed between the planes of each of the flanges. The flanges also include aligned openings formed therethrough for receiving another bar disposed crosswise of the first bar. The flanges include passages leading into the aligned openings to permit the second bar to be lodged in the aligned openings independently of the first bar.

  • Patent number: 4050524
Abstract: A clamp for mounting an agricultural spring tooth to a square cross section tool bar includes an L-shaped angle bracket, one leg having a transverse slot near a free end thereof, the other leg having a bolt receiving aperture near its end, and a partially channel shaped retaining clip having a transverse slot near one end and a bolt receiving aperture near the other end. The bracket is mounted on the tool bar in contact with two adjacent sides of the square bar, the mounting of the spring tooth shank being received in the bracket slot and contacting another side of the bar, and the clip being overlayed on the mounting shank with the end of the one leg received in the clip slot. A bolt is passed through the other leg, the clip, and the shank, clamping same together on the tool bar. Side flanges on the retaining clip rest adjacent side edges of the mounting shank whereby, in cooperation with the clip slot, lateral pivoting of the tooth is resisted.
